I was just sitting here thinking about how many people even have a lawyer? Most probably don't.I had a criminal matter 2 years ago in which the judge said could be expunged if I didn't get in anymore trouble. So I go to a different lawyer than the one who originally handled my case and "lawyer B" tells me to go back to "lawyer A".Anyway that's what made me think of this question.Would you say most lawyers don't get much business. It ain't like we're always getting into situations that require legal advice.

Actually most lawyers get so much business that they have to turn potential clients away EVERY SINGLE DAY. Yes, even the really bad lawyers.
Yes, I do have an attorney and I am also a law student.

Yes. I have a lawyer who took my case pro bono 2 1/2 years ago; started out with protection order, since then we've been in court at least 10 times on divorce, child support, and visitation issues. Just 3 months she began charging me a grand total of $25.00 a month. The ruling has been in my favor each and every time we've been to court. She is awesome. If all lawyers were like her there would be no lawyer jokes.

The fact that my ex is a meth head chimo probably helps. I'm pretty pissed off today after court yesterday. Oh well, we won again.

Believe it or not, some people are always getting into those situations. Business people have lawyers that they use all the time, as do career criminals. Most lawyers get work by referral.

Lawyers are usually pretty well off financially so they must be getting some kind of business. I have an attorney right now who drives a porche so he's doing something right!

There are lawyers specializing in many different fields. And they wouldn't be practicing if they didn't get much business.
