Normally, Joint Tenancy includes Rights of Survivorship.

That means that when one co-owner dies, their percentage of the property is automatically transferred to the other joint-tenant owners (survivors). Do not pass Go. Do not collect under the will.

I don't know if Chile follows those specific rules, but that's the general theory.
