I think it was mostly a terrorist attack. I don't think the gov. was in on it per se. But it may have been allowed to happen, or they planned to foil the plot and failed. There are quite a few things fishy with the whole deal. Many open questions on the response that day.
For example-- why is there NO video other than a few really fuzzy frames of the pentagon attack. The pentagon must be one of the most highly watched/recorded places in this country. Plus there were videos from nearby businesses that were confiscated and never released.
Where are the black boxes? Ssome say they were found, others say no. At the very least, the black box contents from the Pentagon crash should be found. I can maybe understand WTC being hard or impossible to find. And then again, they happen to find a passport from one of the terrorists.
Trust the gov? 7 or 8 -- meaning I don't trust very much.
wow andrew_k, you're really drinking some cool aid.... completey trust the gov. What is wrong with you?

It had to be purely a terrorist attack - if it were an 'inside job' someone would have spilled the beans by now. Government employees aren't bright enough to cover their tracks that well. There are some compelling ideas about a conspiracy, but there's no compelling concrete evidence.
As far as trusting the government as a whole...I'd have to rate that at a 7 or 8. As far as trusting the integrity of persons in certain positions it varies.

People who put so much faith in their government are so gullible. You should read more and stop watching soap operas all the time. Like someone had posted, read about the New American Century, for a start. This is public information written by our own neocons, and yet most Americans don't even know about it, ...how sad. Anything you don't like to hear, you call conspiracy theory, to the point where the words start losing their meaning.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME. The government got 11 Saudi men to hijack 4 planes fly them into 3 buildings and a corn field. They killed 3000 people, faked phone calls to families, brought the country to there knees, and for what purpose would all of this serve? The government wasn't involved in this in any way. The 9-11 commission didn't prove any thing nor did Micheal Moore. Not to mention all the other private investigations. People need to morn the lose of some great Americans and trust the government. The reason we have a government is to provide for the people. It wasn't some cover up or ploy to get backing for a war it wasn't for oil. The only thing that fuel this hanus attack was pure hatred for freedom and the American way. 1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1, and 1!

i don't believe of we can ever comprehend the reality of who became fairly in the back of the 9/eleven attacks, yet i wager absolutely everyone is entitled to their diverse critiques. i imagine that is so heartbreaking of what number of human beings died and that i think so sorry for his or her loved ones and those on the breaking point of their hearts :( R.I.P to absolutely everyone that exceeded on to the great beyond. BQ: i visit remember seeing on the t.v what exceeded off and that i began crying. i did not completely comprehend what had exceeded off because i became basically 8. i do not remember what i became doing on that day, it became all a blur.

Government was in on it.
I trust all governments about as far as I can throw them. being 1.
The eventual evolution of all governments dictates that they will seek to oppress the people.
Power tempts the greedy. So in essence, greedy people become leaders eventually. They work to gain more and more power.
It's a vicious cycle, but it always happens.

I think this is the only time I would give this administration a 10. I haven't made my mind yet but I think it should be investigated the question is by whom? Now with what I know now I really smell conspiracy.

The Government has a long history of lies. Pick up any History book and you will see the truth. Listen to Rush and you will hear lie after lie from his mouth. Sept. 11th. was the greatest failure of our Government to protect Americans in our History. Bush was told about the Sept. 11th attack in advance, that is in the Sept. 11th 9/11 commission report, read that book, it's filled with facts.
