You're too blind, Andrew k. Perhaps you think Babies come from storks and the planets revolve around the Earth, since science is all a guess to you. How pitiful...

Frakas, do you know what they do with the embryos if they're not used? They burn them. Burn.... Them.... So why not use them for research? The rest of the answer is good, however

Comparing stem cell resarch to Nazi experiments on Jews during WWII is totallly disgusting and shameful of you, my last answerer. The nazis were experimenting on the Jews to try to prove they are an inferior race ( Which they are not) Stem Cell research is trying to help people. And if I recall, the embryos aren't feeling pain at thi stage of their life. This new from of possible research doesn't harm the embryo, whereas Nazi research was preformed in order to harm the so called inferior races, a myth created by Adolf Hitler and the Nazis. Get your facts straight before making such a bold claim.

I'd have no problem with it.
You're missing an important point though: Conservatives have BEEN supporting embryonic stem cell research. GWB is the first President to ever allow the Federal Government to pay for it! The only restriction is that no NEW embryos can be destroyed on the government dime. There is currently no restriction on the destruction of embryos, so long as the government is not involved. (That would be a government endorsement of the atheist belief.)

Are you kidding, killing a cell is murder and the scientist should be executed that do this. Stem cells only hold the hope of the future in medicine in actually finding cures not just treatments. By the way the medical profession and the insurance company's are putting up big money to stop this.

I am a Conservative (fiscal) and I have never had a problem with stem cell research. Is it against the Liberal rule book to use logic instead of emotional rhetoric ?

I'm against the current form of Embryonic stem cell research. I'm not sure about this new idea, yet.
I'd like to see the results of about 10 years of successful research on animals before I'd give it my qualified OK.
I still think it's wrong to experiment on people (and I consider an embryo a person) without their consent. It leads to these kinds of 'scientific' experiments.

Science is a joke. Stem cell research is all about the MONEY. You can take cells out of your thigh and get the same results. Why not just do that. Science doesn't need to progress. I personally believe that science is just one big guess at life. There are theories but not many cold hard facts. If you would please refer to the conservative rule book by it's actual name, The Bible, that would be greatly appreciated.

you said "if" and read before you ask. What the President vetoed was FEDERAL money to be used for research. There are enough private companies out there to do the work. I agree with Bush- don't use my money to research something that might turn out to be another damnocrat conspiracy theory!!!!!!
Still no proof only your lies!!!!!
