I was arrested 17 years ago for an assualt charge. In stead of calling 911 the person (assaulted) called a personal friend, a police officer. This police officer had previous false derogatory information on myself, from the so-called victim. The assault charge was entered as the most serious charge under misdemeanors. It should have been a much lesser charge according to the Penal Code. Could the so-called victim be sued for Defamation of Character. I just found out I cannot receive employment at a certain company because of this. The case was dismissed, but remains on my record.

I wrote this and I'm sending it to the Insurgents in Iraq. "Hello Insurgents, I want to say how sorry I am that we invaded your country. As you know by now 63% of the American people do not support the war so I would say we will cut and run in about three years. It took us 10 years to cut and run from Vietnam but I hope we wise up fast this time around. We, the American people, know you have the right to defend Iraq and let me tell you this. You are doing a very good job on your part. As you know about this type of war all you have to do is wear the USA down and we will run like a scared dog after about 3 more years. We don't have a heart for a long drawn out war. But don't worry. After you whip us we will get along with you. We are now friends with Vietnam and they killed 56,876 of us. I hope someday we can shake hands and forget about the wrong done to you by the USA. Best to you". ( Note:..This letter will go out tomorrow...What do you think?)

First, I am not saying 'all Mexicans' are like this. I am saying border towns on both sides are particularly unsafe in part because bad guys can dash across the border. This guy was arrested for personal participation in 10 -15 murders on this side of the border, and is potentially linked to a gang that commited 300 rape/murders in Mexico and here.

I think we need secure borders and protection of people on BOTH sides of the border.

It wouldn't seem the Republicans would think so. A common reply from them is ... "Bush isnt the only one running the country."
or " Hes just one man"
"everyone else voted for it to" yadda yadda yadda As though none of what is happening right now is his fault.

But when talking about Clinton.... he has plunged the world into world war three, hes invited tragedy, hes ruined the economoy, hes the cause of of the Iraq problem now.. yadda yadda yadda and he did All This While Getting A Lickin' in the Oval Office! LOL

At least 35 Army recruiters, 18 Marine Corps recruiters, 18 Navy recruiters and 12 Air Force recruiters were disciplined for sexual misconduct or other inappropriate behavior with potential enlistees in 2005, according to records obtained by the AP under dozens of Freedom of Information Act requests. That's significantly more than the handful of cases disclosed in the past decade.

The AP also found:

_The Army, which accounts for almost half of the military, has had 722 recruiters accused of rape and sexual misconduct since 1999.

_Some cases of improper behavior involved romantic relationships, and sometimes those relationships were initiated by the women but it is still against Military law to have sex with the girls. However, The Marines say it is the American way.

_Most recruiters found guilty of sexual misconduct are disciplined administratively, facing a reduction in rank or forfeiture of pay; military and civilian prosecution but most just get discharged.

I am a person who believes that rehabilitation does not work. The current levels of recidivism, and the luxurious state of our (UK) prisons mean that custodial sentences are hardly a deterrent anymore, espaecially with a mandatory early release if your sentence happens to be under 5 years. A man of the cloth once proposed, in a local newspaper (Daily Record) that prisoners, who have commited certain classes of crime, ie: rape, murder, etc, should be used for medical experiments - and the data gathered would be more meaningful than experiments on animals. Although we have had some success with animal experiments (isolation of insulin, etc), the results can be disastrous when this fails, like Thalidomide. Who thinks that this "modest proposal" should be implemented?

Why is our national symbol the same as thiers? Why is our system of government the same as thiers? Why do football stadiums look like the collaseum? Why do American Express travellers checks have a roman legionaire on them? If there was a culture that more closely emulates us who was it? Did the romans know something that we didnt about control of the people over expansive areas?

I just read someone defending the people for becoming sucide bombers and also claims she is Jewish. Then does not understand why people among her own faith or anywhere else either think she is an anti-semite (in that she is the worst - a self-hater) and a fool. I have no problem with discussion on matters - but lying and trying to pretend you are backed by facts (when you are not) is simply dishonest and insulting the intelligence of others. When will these liars and fools stop?
