I wrote this and I'm sending it to the Insurgents in Iraq. "Hello Insurgents, I want to say how sorry I am that we invaded your country. As you know by now 63% of the American people do not support the war so I would say we will cut and run in about three years. It took us 10 years to cut and run from Vietnam but I hope we wise up fast this time around. We, the American people, know you have the right to defend Iraq and let me tell you this. You are doing a very good job on your part. As you know about this type of war all you have to do is wear the USA down and we will run like a scared dog after about 3 more years. We don't have a heart for a long drawn out war. But don't worry. After you whip us we will get along with you. We are now friends with Vietnam and they killed 56,876 of us. I hope someday we can shake hands and forget about the wrong done to you by the USA. Best to you". ( Note:..This letter will go out tomorrow...What do you think?)

we and Iraq people don't hate you we hate what your government do and say.
to be honest we likes you more than English people.
but don't kill our kids ,we are sorry and say don't hate us we are nice people.........

Still thinking that the Islamist Terrorists (I refuse to call them Insurgents) are like the Vietnamese who'd wise up and abandon their stupid ideology after the Yanks leave...I think it would be wise to remember that forgiveness and reconciliation is a two-way street...and as far as I see the Islamists will never rest until their evil Islamic Empire is completed (meaning no they will never forgive and they will never stop). And...the Islamists have stated (the Al-Qaida #2 man) that it will not end with Iraq or Israel or Lebanon...It will only end with either the last non-Muslim (includes Christians and Atheists) or the last Islamist is dead or dying.
As to your letter...go ahead and send it. I am not responsible anyway for your life or where it leads (only you are)...BTW be sure to tell me the address you send it to so we can bomb it the hour after they recieve it...unless you deliver it by hand by which we'll just let the terrorists "recieve" you as a guest.

It is brainwashing you. You're the only one that would apologize to the insurgents. They bomb and kill innocent civilians. They showed a bomb going off at a school and they kidnapped 21 kids and shot them all. They were innocent kids, just going to school. They have nothing to do with the conflict. Do you know they can find you because you put your adress on the envelope. They would laugh at you. You do not understand the situation at all over there, do you? The government will find you and arrest you for supporting terrorists. No one has ever written to terrorists, and how would you locate them? Don't apologize to those who kill innocent people. Go ahead...an easy way would be to fly to Beirut, Lebanon sit in a cafe, ask some people about Hezbollah...soon someone will sit with you and ask what do you want..then you can give him your letter. But your letter sounds like Treason, so if you get arrested when you come back to the USA don't be surprised!

You're kind of an idiot aren't you? The majority of the insurgents are foriegn fighters who couldn't care less about the fate of Iraq. All they want to do in participate in the jihad. If you deliver that letter, I suggest you do it in person so you can apologize to them face to face. Afterwards let me know how Curt Kobain is doing.

Shut up duece. I consider a lot of my views liberal, but this poster makes me sick. It's really creepy how some people so simply tag "liberal" to anything they don't like....
And in answer to the question, no it's not a good letter to write to the insurgents. The US doesn't run like a scared dog any where. But I have a feeling you do -- a lot. Clean up your letter and send it to your congressman and US senator.
