I think that is obvious to most. Is there a question in this?

The rich counties have no moral responsibility for poor countries but what they can do is to start trading ethically with Africa. I think the Actors are a very small group in a rich country. they can all help with poverty as well and set an example to us all. When overpaid farmers in Europe keep African farmers poor - this is much bigger a problem. The UK should buy food produced in Africa to help their economic situation. Do you buy ethically from co-op? do your bit to change the world and stop picking on Actors. They are just too small to worry about.

I don't understand the question. Do you mean why is it that actors have so much money and can't even help people in Africa? Or do you mean why is it that we have actors that are making millions and children in Africa continue to be poor? Are you suggesting that instead of paying actors millions of dollars, we take half their salaries and give the other half to the poor in Africa?

People can see that. Some people just don't care or don't know how they can help. Some actors try to help, for example Oprah Winfrey is building a school for girls and Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt are always on tv trying to raise awareness & are over there helping. Some average citizens want to help but aren't sure how they can. You hear about all of the charity organizations keeping the money that's donated so you think it's hopeless.
Someone posted a question on here once, asking why people spend so much money on their pets when there's starving kids in the world, and most people responded like it was a joke, things like, "because their pets don't talk back to them" and stupid stuff like that. Bet it wouldn't be so funny if it was their kids they had to watch dying from hunger.

sorry you think we are all so naive, if I thought there was a way I could contact a few of these really rich people and ask them to donate some more money to the poor I would, I mean they do what they do and they make their millions, what would you have them do? give it all away to take care of other people? the truth is is there is more than enough rich people in the world who could make the changes necessary to make the world a better place, but they don't, only one reason comes to my mind and that is greed, of some sorts, they earned what they have so why should they share it or go out of their way to help others?anyways, yeah most of us see and know what's going on in the world today, it's hard to ignore even in a drug induced coma but I really can't do anything about it, I wish I could

Do not worry about the actors and how rich they are it will not help the poor in Africa. We should all do something to help the UN achieve its millenium goals. If we did what our western leaders agreed to do then we we would really help the poor.

It seems to be the people are not the image of those who are being looked at to care for , the people see an image in front of them much unlike their own and those of us who see this know it does not fit the picture. they both are the audience one for the other and it is painful to see this mix .
