Yes and no.
It is a very good goal for them to strive for but many politicians are dishonest and lack morals. Plus I would be afraid that they would be targets of assassination. But I guess there are a lot dangerous careers mainly ones where you are supposed to serve the public.

Yes, I would want my kids to be active in politics as I am. I hope they will follow me in obtaining a Bachelors in Poli Sci and then going to law school.

If that is what they want then go for it. What I want for them may not be what they would want to do. My kids haven't thought of doing that though. They are not young now either.
