If we fix it so you can't hold any kind of employment in the United States without verified, validated work papers, it'll cost a heck of a lot less to get people to start moving back to Mexico. If Mexico faced things like having their consulates closed, along with the border, for failure to comply and assist in taking their people back, I think it'd spur them to action too...but I don't know if Congress can get that done...well they COULD, I guess, if they wanted, but they say a big impact is already being made by cities and states taking issue with illegal immigration...time will tell, we'll see what the numbers say in 2007...what still mystifies me is why with all the aid money we give Mexico, they haven't made a go of it on their own, after all these years...I guess it's easier to live off ameri-fare...

These are some great points. I'd be interested in finding out, How many illegals try to apply legally, before entering illegally? I'm sure the number would be very low.
Approx. 2-4 million illegals enter every year. At the same time, US immigration laws allow 220,000 legal immigrants per year. And every year for the past 10 or 15 years, the number of Legal immigrants entering is between 500,000 - 750,000. Far greater than the agreed upon 220,000, which was not just some random number. This number was chosen for a very good reason. 1. So the US could control population growth and continue yearly immigration, 2. 220,000 new immigrants per year + kids they will have + current US population + kids they will have. 3. Steadily increase the population while growing the Economy, in order to provide everyone the opportunity for a better life.

Very well said. My wife is a legal immigrant who wants illegals back to where they came from and she is Hispanic, Peruvian to be exact. The MS13 thing is true. I have seen a documentary about them.

Well US is stuck between rock and the hard place. Nothing can be done for this kind. Another fact, THis October, US population will hit 300 million. Already Hispanic population is over black American population.
