Was Gettysburg a "Close Run Thing" for the Northern Army?
Would it have made much impact if Lee's Army had won the day?

Why do people constantly confuse the term "illegal immigrant" with the word "immigrant"? Why has it become the common thing for people that immigrated to the U.S. legally to point out that they did so when faced with a question about illegal immigration?

The only thing the two have in common is the fact that they're both about immigration however one, is about -illegal- immigration, which is generally frowned upon, and the other about legal immigration, which is generally welcomed and embraced with open arms and questions about the country the person immigrated from.

And before anyone brings it up, because they're so often wrong about it, the national quotas that set limits to who could immigrate to the U.S. were abolished after the Immigration and Naturalization Services Act of 1965 was passed. That means that there have been no quotas in place preventing any specific ethnic group from immigrating for forty-one years.

The squirrels, the squirrels stole it from the birds, the birds stole it from the worms, and the worms stole it from the ants. So we should all just leave and give the land back to the ants, right?

Me personally I dont like the idea that once someone is convicted the amount of years in prison (or death) seems to pretty much be determined by how much the family seems to grieve and what the jurry or judge thinks.Personally if I had authority I would set the guidlines for what each crime should warrant.the guide lines today are really ridiculous. We might as well be back in the days of witch hunting and hanging for no very good reason.I would set:
Robbery:2-5yrs
Theft:4-9
Kidnapping:3-7yrs
Drugs:1-3
Prostitution:1-3
Murder:7-12
Masterminding:8-15

Honestly sentenceing today arn't really designed to correct criminals behavior;its more designed to lock them up and throw away the key, which is not good attitude to have at all.Yes,the crimes can be very haneous but thos crimanal are humn to and should deserve some tye of forgiveness right?

what do ya'll think

If candidates didnt come out and say they were Republican or Democrats and just campained, wouldn't people be forced to actually listen to what they plan to do for the country, instead of blindly voting for someone just because they belong to the same political affiliation? And people won't have to be so nasty to each other, as seen on this site alone!

Old Republicans and Democrats in the House and Senate will never change and our country will not go anywhere with their bickering. Anybody who already served 12 years or more should not be able to run again.

We send thousands of troops, tanks, aircraft, ships etc. to countries that harbour or train terrorists which costs the tax payer millions of pounds, yet when there's any terrorist threat in the U.K. what do we get, a flat footed bobby with a hand gun, half a dozen bullets in his a**e pocket, oh, and a black baseball hat.
Why? to keep a low profile in case they offend a passing immigrant I suppose.
