Me personally I dont like the idea that once someone is convicted the amount of years in prison (or death) seems to pretty much be determined by how much the family seems to grieve and what the jurry or judge thinks.Personally if I had authority I would set the guidlines for what eac crime should warrant.the guid lines today are really ridiculous. We might as well be back in the days of witch hunting and hanging for no very good reason.I would set:
Robbery:2-5yrs
Theft:4-9
Kidnapping:3-7yrs
Drugs:1-3
Prostitution:1-3
Murder:7-12
Masterminding:8-15

Honestly sentenceing today arn't really designed to correct criminals behavior;its more designed to lock them up and throw away the key, which is not good attitude to have at all.Yes,the crimes can be very haneous but thos crimanal are humn to and should deserve some tye of forgiveness right?

Mark 11-But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

Forgiving is 1 thing but locking up criminals and keeping them away from innocent people is another.
I am a Christian. Several years ago I was raped. And while I have forgiven him, I was thankful that he was in prison so that he couldn't violate any other women. Guess you haven't experienced rape, huh? For that matter, maybe you haven't been the victim of any violent crime. Please, if someone murdered your mother, tell me you would be satisfied with the person getting a max of 12 years! And actually it would end of being less than that with good behavior, etc.
And if you want to have a serious discussion like this then learn how to spell.

I think there should be a certain minimum.
Repeat ofenders should get more.

Murderers and Rapists should get a lot more. Especially murderers, i mean they sent some1s soul into eternity.

Prisons are not what they used to be. I mean they have cable TV, they usually dont have to work. They live life usually better than their victims.

Think about it. It doesnt seem fair that a rapist and murdere should get to sit and lay somewhere for some years, whitouth working, watching TV, doing what they want, and be let out of prison to go back and do it again. It's like the poor man that got arested for stealling food and "I just dont get it. Now they give me food everyday for free." The judicial and prison systems are WAAAY out of whack.
