Do you think the US's massive funding and overall backing of Israel is due to Israel's use as a strategic military ally in the Middle East or more due to zionist funding of washington's elected officials? As a strategic ally, it does not appear that Israel has proved it worth yet (except for the bombing of iraq's nuclear facilities) and has hurt our international image and overall safety (the spawning of terrorism). OR could it be political contributions and high concentrations of Jews in power in America? I have heard that Jews account for only 2% of the population but have a third of the wealth in America and that 45% of the jews worldwide reside in america. I have not verified this, but if it is true, doesnt it seem pretty obvious why Israel get such an enormous proportion of US foreign aid that is dispersed?

Without them poking their noses in your bussiness. I don't believe you should hit the child, unless in extreme cases they need a good spanking. But child services goes beyond that and if they hear you saying somehting like stop acting like a brat, they're at your house investigating you. It's great that children have protection like this but I think in many situations child services goes way too far and investigates for the wrong reasons.

ethically...one of my clients refuses to pay a December invoice because it wasn't "actually submitted properly" and now it's "too late" to do anything about it. I've continued to work with him, begrudging the issue, but moving on. I always have been the technical support person and hence am always in posession of his equipment. Things got "hot" on the set - egos got the best of both of us and name calling drama ensued. Obviously, I "will never work in this town again". I don't expect another communication, except probably a lawyer. Do I have any "right" to use his equipment as "hostage" ?

I assumed that you all belonged and believed in the KKK? So then why do a lot of you believe that all Mexicans belong and believe in La Raza and Mecha? Is it too hard to judge based on individuality and not attack the race? I bet you would think a friend of mine is illgal just because he's Mexican. ok, started a new job working thru a contract service, pay is supposed to be once a week, first check due on july 14th. by july 17th check had not arrived, called service, they looked into it, check was sent to my old address, but mail was forwarded should be there in the next day. so sent bills off, 19th rolled around no check, spoke with yet another person, someone called the morning of 20th, faxed me paper work to stop payment and issue new one (was told this would be overnighted to me) so on friday the 21st no check, no big deal, will be here on Saturday, told me it was over nighted, 22nd rolls around no check, I had already sent bills again on friday in anticapation of deliver (based upon what they said to me) on mondya the 24th I called, stop payment had not been done yet, finally they did it and check arrrives on the 25th. Problem is that between the 20th and the 26th, I incured 10 fees at my bank for a total of 290$ would the promissory estoppel apply here, they are unwillin

ITS clear that the best jobs are in the government or in contracted corporations to supply americas military and infrastructure .ALSO the rebuilding efforts abroad will require engineers & architechs who will also work with the government to rebuild the nations we are destroying .
WITH government on the rise does it follow that war too will rise in order to meet the needs of the millions of people working for the government and just how much do americans who do not work for the government pay in higher taxes to continue the growth of this trend towards larger government supported by both republicans and democrats .they can not say they want smaller government and spend billions on wars and defense if cutting government and spending is the goal of republicans ,i know people who are thrilled with there jobs and feel safe for the next few years and they all work in defense. THE war is just one of those things we have to acknowledge will happen . Clinton cut defense and scared them all .

I've always been tought that life is the most precious and priceless of things on this earth. And I hold it in that respect. However recently certain politicians seemed to have changed the exchange rate to 1 human life = 1 barrel of crude oil (thx to George Bush an Tony Blair)

Perhaps I missed it, but I keep hearing about how HEZBOLLAH is firing rockets; HEZBOLLAH is fighting Israel. I never hear about "regular" Lebanese troops, air force, etc. striking at Isreal.

Did I miss something?

If my understanding is correct, then one must wonder - why? If Canada (Mexico, anybody) attacked the US because an extremist group kidnapped someone (including rockets, bombs, and armed invasion), you can bet the George W would be attacking (and not just the extremist group that is targeted).

I understand that Lebanon is an American ally, but if my understanding is correct, won't this actually hurt the US? I can't but imagine that the general population will view the Israeli acts as an attack on their (Lebanese) territory, which should be defended by their government.

Won't this give HEZBOLLAH internal support -- at least they fought back?

how can i get a concealed weapons license? i know that all you gun haters out there will flmae me for the question, but id rather be able to protect myself and those around me than get shot down and used as bait for some lunatic. i was recently used as a hostage in a gas station and had to snap my assaulter's neck in order to save myself and the store clerk from being killed. i realize from this that instead of paralyzing somone it would be safer and easier to disable them without the risk of killing them, or if needed to eliminate their threat as quickly as possible.

STATES have raised income sales and property taxes to pay for all the things the fed use to pay but they cut taxes so they could get credit for being the good guys and forced local taxes and fee's to rise
