Some people are surprised! Roger Balwin, founder of the ACLU, stated in the 1920' that the goal of the ACLU was "Communism"...he believed that they could wipe out "religion" better known as Christianity via the judicial system...have you noticed that they have been working hard to do just that?

Not quite correct.

Yes, there is a communist political party. And like any other political party, they are following the laws of our country to advance their agenda. Just because you don't like them doesn't mean they are wrong.

And yes, one of the many people involved in the ACLU also later joined the Communist party. But claiming the ACLU is communist is like saying every Republican is a member of the KKK, just because some have been.

The ACLU is a non-profit organizations set up to provide legal advice and litigation support to people whose constitutional rights are being infringed. They sole mission is to defend the Bill of Rights and support the Constitution.

And yes, they take on some cases people may not like. But that's only because some people seem to think it's OK to trample the constitution if you don't personally like the people whose rights are being infringed.

Their goal was never to "wipe out religion". It was to get the courts to enforce the constitutional requirement that the government "shall make no laws respecting the establishment of religion". The concept of separation of church and state has been recognized by the Supreme Court since the mid-1800s.

And the idea of any one religion being able to dictate government policy, or that the government would value the practices and morality of any one religion over all others, is a direct constitutional violation that goes to the heart of the Establishment clause. Because the ACLU is dedicated to preserving the Constitution, they help people (of any religion) whose religions rights are being infringed.

The ACLU doesn't pick sides. It defends anyone's rights under the Constitution. The ACLU has taken many many cases on behalf of Christians who were denied their rights by government policies.

Some people have a problem with that. They think that only certain people should have a right to constitutional protections. Just like some people think the communist should not be allowed to express their political views because they are unpopular.

The core freedoms of this country are that anyone is entitled to their own opinion, and entitled to share that opinion with others. And our political system is based on a representative government, where we elect officials who also promote those opinions.

If you want to live in a country where the government gets to decide which messages are valid, and which religions are valid, and which political platforms are valid, then you should go somewhere else.

Because this country was founded on the constitutional principles of freedom of belief and freedom of expression. And on the idea that what other people think is protected, whether you (or the current govt) agrees with them or not.

Yes in fact that particular party has some reading rooms across the country and sometimes they pass out fliers for diff rent meetings they have, usually accusing police of being racist and other stuff.

There are many other communist party's in USA, some are Maoist, Stalinist, regular old Marxist Leninist, Trotsky's, Castro's and a few others I cant remember. They are usually small no more then a few thousand members. The party you mentioned is barely communist, it is now just a liberal party with little of the original communist ideology left.

Its funny how they claim to be for workers rights yet they are pro illegal immigration which is destroying the working class.
