The one that gets overlooked the most. George Washington he could have been emperor if he had wanted to but he made the choice to surrender his power after 2 terms. This shows incredible humility and wisdom.

My personal favorite is Jimmy Carter only because he never seemed to gain a specific "fan" base during his term in office or afterwards. His actions both in office and out have been more non-political and more human!

Jimmy Carter aspired to make Government "competent and compassionate," responsive to the American people and their expectations.

After his term in office, Carter assumed the role of an elder statesman and international mediator, using his prestige as a former president to further many causes. He founded the Carter Center as a forum for issues related to democracy and human rights. He has also traveled extensively to monitor elections, conduct peace negotiations, and establish relief efforts. In 2002, Carter won the Nobel Peace Prize for his "efforts to find peaceful solutions to international conflicts, to advance democracy and human rights, and to promote economic and social development." Carter has continued his decades-long active involvement with the charity Habitat for Humanity, which builds houses for the needy.

Well, there you have it, MY FAVORITE PRESIDENT!
