My family had a house near the beach in Ct that had an undeveloped area next to it. A sleazy builder bought it and had 3 surveys done and chose to go with the one that put his property line well into ours (in the middle of our driveway). He then developed three houses on it. The property should have only sustained 2 according to building code, but with the extra he did it anyway. Is there any true recourse that will correct this injustice without costing anything or at least a minimal amount. The answer should be legally enforcable (IE no civil action..it's virtually unenforcable).

A lot of people like to sue anyone for anything, i think it's stupid. I hate buying something and have a 400 page book of what not to do with the item. The sad part is that all these things i'm not suppose to do with the item were included in the book because, well, someone did it. If you're stupid enough to blowdry your hair while taking a bath, then you deserve to die and not live and breed. Where do we draw the line in putting a million warnings on products and letting people sue companies because of their stupidity? example, someone buys a rocking chair, obviously it's not a steady place to stand because well, it rocks. If someone stands on it and falls then sues the company that makes the chair because he sustained injuries, that to me is dumb, that person should be the one getting sued for stupidity.

This whole event seems strange to me. To say I told you so to people isn't satisfying because a lot of people died. I never believed that there were usable WMD's there, I never believed that saddam and Al Qaeda worked together (one is a secularist and the other is a religious extremest). When Bush started telling everyone that the metal tubes found in Iraq were for WMD I didn't believed him because the IAEA said that they were for conventional rockets. When Bush said that Iraq tried to get uranium from Nigeria I didn't believed him. He even had Powell give the UN forged documents trying to prove a link. The UN was like "wow." It was such a poor job that the UN thought it couldn't have been intentional. The document's signature was from a person not in office when it was dated & the letter head was also from another time. Bush kept repeating disproven stuff over and over. He was either lying or really dumb. Was it "group think", blind patriotism, or something else that blinded us.

Ok this is a really dumb question. I was at a K-mart and we were looking for pool supplies when I spy these cards I collect on top of some pool stuff. The cards were unwrapped (the wrapper was nowhere to be found) and somebody had left only 6 of the cards and taken all the rarer ones. The 6 that remained I didn't have in my collection. So I take them and my mom is like GRAAAHH YOU'RE SHOP LIFTING. If you were me would you have taken them? If I did would that be stealing? My reason is they couldn't have sold them and probably didnt know they existed. I didn't take them though because I didn't feel with putting up with the wrath of mom.

Fla. court throws out huge Tobacco ruling (I guess people really should have been responsible for their own action, knowing that inhaling fire didn't take an f-ing warning label to tell you it is not a good idea). And Ga. reinstates ban on marriage by people of the same gender who like to have sex with each other. And EVEN NY courts agree that the people get to DECIDE what a marriage is, and not some sloth judge.

Amazing. Could we be turning a corner here?

Even I (can you believe it?) am tired of name calling and cussing when somone expresses their opinion. I'm sick of "racist", "beaner", "bigot", "******" and various other forms of slurs, slanders and cussing.

Did you know that "WanderingStar" is in Mexico and has been helpful and supportive to the U.S. citizens with our illegal immigration problem? Now I read in her post's answers that people are disrespecting her.

Can we stop name calling, cussing, and disrepection other people's opinions? PANCHA has been both polite and respectful yet people STILL find it necessary to slam her.

Please, let's agree to disagree without emotion. With passion, yes. With emotion, no. Agreed?

The Verichip is a government-funded program that will permanently place a small, electronic chip in every newborn baby. It will be used as a GPS tracking device, and tangible currency will be nullified. In essence, you will not be able to buy things without a Verichip. This is very real, and legislation for this is fast approaching.

What do you think? Should we the people be chipped? or...

about North Korea and I don't think it is necessary. First, it won't do any good. Obviously they haven't "hit" anything -- they are testing missiles and trying to get a rise out of people. It's working people!!! They don't have Yahoo Q/A to keep them busy. You might think you don't have a life but really....they don't have a life!! Are you really that afraid and why?

Can they not answer a question without ranting about Liberals? I have tried not to do that when I answer one of their questions even if I disagree with them. They defend him even when he is wrong. I hoped that stating our views on either side could be done without malice, but I am being prooved sadly wrong.

Why is it that liberals are wrong on every issue, yet insist that they are only being "open minded." Isn't it better to have morals/convictions/beliefs than to be all "every thing's ok, I'm open to new ideas, believe what's true to you." How come they preach individuality, and yet want to turn the US into a communist state? how come they can't rationalize anything? Why do they avoid a direct answer to any question? Why do they think free speech is so great? Look where it's gotten them. Why do they think that the definition of conservative is "George W Bush"? Why will most of the liberals "answering" this question only rant about how I'm a closed minded bigot, and not really answer anything? Why don't we just shoot them all?

I have been watching President Bush and Prime Minister Harper on TV. Nothing new. The Korean situation was referred to again. Nothing new.

News reports July 4 said the missiles were spotted at take off. Had they begun to cross the Pacific I am absolutely positive one of the hundreds of B-52 bombers which fly over Ottawa every day would catch it before it got to Honolulu.

The U.S. (and Canada) may not be ready for Hurricane Katrina but incoming missiles were dealt with in the Fifties and Sixties.

Should the U.S. choose to disarm, matching Korean, Iragi, Iranian and all other comers missile for missile and gun for gun, I would be surprised if all of the aforementioned countries had as many armaments as northern New York State.

I am not affraid of Korea.

launches a missile towards Alaska. I don't see anything on the news. What the hell are they talking about? I didn't think N. Korea could get a missile that far anyway and why would they even try that? Maybe because they don't aim well. I know they are going to be testing missiles but has anyone seen anything on the news in the last few minutes and can you share with us who are at work please? Thank you.
