I mean, was it the "sex scandal" or is it more? After all, he's a good-ole boy, Southern Baptist, etc. The economy was pretty good in those days (I know I had a lot more money!). Taxes were low. No real wars to speak of. Just what is it?

why cant you see that war destroys wealth & the only ones that get paid are the ones making the weapons? they get paid with tax money, we lose on that. the jobs created are a fraction of the jobs that would have been created if that money hadnt been taken, we lose there. one bomb is worth at least 2 houses. its dropped & destroys at least 2 other houses, we lose there too. so how is war good for the economy?

Us goverment is waiting for our economy to reach the trillion dollar deficit to start thinking about the easiest and cheapest way to significantly reduce our deficit and improve our economy by reducing our foreign petroleum dependence by at least 50%. This question has only one answer under my personal opinion; the congress and the president are so busy counting their money that there is no time left to analyze about realistic and cheap ways to fix one of the problems of this country which could make a chain reaction and fix many others that might not seem of the same type at first glance. Ironically the solution lies on self suficiency and not global economy in this specific topic. Thank you for your time reading on the the thoughts that come to my mind when i dont have anything to do and think of how to make the world a better place, and lets hope that US follow the example of an ex-third world country like brasil and that way continue on with the "american dream". boricualoco00@yaho

We say we want to spread democracy and freedom yet we ignore the desperate pleas of people being slaughtered in genocide. What the hell is wrong with us here in USA that we intervene in IRAQ at cost of BILLLIONs but will not spend a cent to help some people that REALLY need it. The IRAQIS do not even want out help. the Ruwandans are begging us to help.

I seem to remember his saying soemthing similar early in his election bid . His cronies think that they can use USA military might to line their pockets by knocking over little weak countries.
I fear we may bite off more than we can chew and get bit bad. Iraq is a very small nation with no army yet they have fought us to a standstill with volunteer amateurs. what happened to our military might? If Bush really plans to advance an imperial agenda, he is off to a very bad start. I think we should be helping others and making friends as we will need them very soon. we may be at the mercy of our enemies if we keep making more and more of them. We are letting our mouths write checks our a$$es cannot cash

Now this question is not meant to cause heated retorts. Think of it more as a simple debate amongst friends. Which branch is the best and why? Don't leave out any detals. I, for one, plan to join the Air Force when I go to college. I like the USAF, but I come from an Army family. And then there's the Marines and the Navy, too. So do tell, which branch truly rules?

We are so strong and brave when it comes to kicking *** with little countries like IRAQ but run scared when anyone mentions Korea or China. What those dictators are doing is ten times worse than IRAQ. So we must be just a little chickenshit nation to say we care about freedom and democracy in the world but never do anything about the the real threats because we are scared to get hurt. Why not just admit we are not number one anymore, not even number 2 and let the big boys run the world. we should just shut up and eat our Mc D burgers and take our drugs and hope we do not get invaded . God will not help us if we do because we are both wicked and weak.

if someone asked you, would you refer to the country as a whole or what part of it they are from? Also, is there as much animosity between England and Scotland as there is between England and Ireland?

It is obvious the DNC and RNC no longer feel they owe the public any sort of real allegiance. The Fair Tax issue will not be heard, the borders won't get shut, and we allow ballots to be written in 120 languages. Without protecting our borders, language, and culture are elected leaders are representing Lobbies, foreign interests, and global corporations. Every election is a choice between Dumb and Dumber. Is time to scrap the the current constitution and remove all leaders, hold new elections to determine how to re-write the constitution, in order to protect our country from being taken over by people who have no interest in assimilating to be an American?
