Why are breeds of dogs not considered as different species when all dog breeds have a wide array of differences from each other and from other species of dogs such as wolves, foxes, hyenas, etc.

Okay so ive had my mice for a few weeks now, I've bough Bi-odor to controll their odor (ps. their male). Well i live with my bf and and my bfs mom and supposivley she can smell them throughout the house when i cant even smell them in my room, but she gripes about it 24/7 like she is the most immature person ever seriously and she makes a big deal out of everything.. Does getting them fixed take that odor away or would it be a waste of time since mice dont live long anyways, she said if the odor isnt gone they have to go, and thats basicly not an option for me! I clean there cage about 2 times a day and i clean out thier wheels and replace their bedding once a day i mean what else can they do i even have the shampoo and fragrance spray for them .. What else can i do?? i dont want to just let them go they are tamed animals they would probley die out in the wild, & no one wants them more or less i dont trust anyone else with them what can i do please help.. No dumb answers please.

We had tape in her cage I don't know if she ate some, but when I came home she was lying on her back, breathing very heavy and some white stuff was in her eyes. When she died her eye kinda deflated... Then she started rolling around on the floor over and over again. She had babies and was a tan fancy mouse. Help! And thanks!

I am getting horses soon and want to pasture them during the day and keep them in at night (cold). I also have invested in automatic feeders to feed the horse several times for when I'm at work or sleeping but the question is whether I can feed the horses grains at night since they will not be in their stalls during the day to get to their concentrate food. 24 hours a day they'll have access to field or hay but I just don't know how to give them their daily ration of grains without restricting their access to open pasture during the day when I'm at work. I work 8 hours a day, not including a 30 minute commute, so I am there only in the morning and evening....but 100% on the weekends.

I have 10 rabbits of my own and I clean there cages once a week (aspca reccomend) but my barn never smells so nasty.. I have been to six and most of the people keep them in very small cages It doesnt seem to be very humane ...I was wondering if there were other people out there that raise rabbits and what are your views on this

She's not in heat and she hasn't been spayed although she's not in heat right now. She has NEVER wanted out before, some how my brother was going out and she went w/him. We looked for 30-45 minutes and it's dark outside. She's about 10 lbs and black so I can't find her. Do cats remember where they live and ever come back?

I know I can't really make him just stop, but are there any things I can do to make him not want to buck? He usually bucks after the first few jumps in a course.

Ok my horse is a Dark Bay thoroughbred X and his name is Tj. I was wanting a new show name for him because I don't like the one his has now, it's Tall, Dark and Handsome. I don't really want it to have his barn name in it but it doesn't matter. I do hunters and jumpers on him. I don't want the show name to be too long but I don't mind if it's one word. PLEASE HELPP!!!!

I just adopted a pet from my local animal shelter. They told me that the animal will need a microchip (not optional) before I can take her home. Sorry to sound so behind the times, but does anyone know when this practice of microchipping pets started?

I already have a Min Pin who is easy enough to deal with. She loves other dogs and I have found a Boston Terrier 4 month old pup who both me and my Min Pin have fallen for. I've done some research on the Boston breed but have never owned one. Can anyone with Boston Terrier expeirence just tell me what their dealings with Bostons have been like? What are some pros and cons? Thanks so much!
