I always wondered what would happen if a female chihuahua got pregnant with a great dane's pups, what would happen? Would she explode or something? Lol, sounds stupid..

For starters, I doubt a great dane would be able to impregnate a chihuahua. The male dog needs to balance himself by holding onto the female and there would be no way a dane could hold a chihuahua in that manner. Also, the dane's organ would be too large to penetrate the chihuahua. That, by itself would likely kill the chihuahua. If such a mating actually occurred, the humane thing to do would be to take the chihuahua to the vet for an abortion. She would not be able to carry the pups to term and would likely die in the process.
No, she would not explode, she would die a slow and painful death.

I've mused over this too, as I have a dog even bigger than a great dane, I have an irish wolfhound. But, as it's obvious it would be a cruel death for the mother... I have wondered what it would look like the OTHER way around. A giant breed dog (like the dane or wolfhound) mommy and a tiny dog DADDY. That way you could see the results without cruelty. However, I have seen a cross between a CORGI and a WOLFHOUND (I don't know how it was concieved - however, I do know breeders often artificially inseminate - and I don't want to know how ((or who)) gets the doner sperm...) but it was the most ridiculous looking animal I've ever seen in my life. It truly looked like an abomination. I hope no one EVER does such a cruel thing to a tiny mommy dog, and if they do, I hope they burn for eternity.

it would probably kill her, as the pups would get too large for her womb.
its a cruel idea.
my uncle had to get his fox terrier female aborted when the father was found out to be a dane/mastiff cross. the vet said the chances of the pups or her living through birth would be small.
Chihuahua's are smaller

It would be very improbable that these two breeds would ever be able to mate in the first place. Even if it did somehow happen, the puppies, and perhaps the mother, would not survive.

its impossible, and its also unhealthy for the dog having the puppies, especially if the chihuahua is the mother

for just the thought of a large dog screwing a very small dog is just funny and painful at the same time.
But she might explode or the puppies might go through a very huge growth spurt in life.
