We had tape in her cage I don't know if she ate some, but when I came home she was lying on her back, breathing very heavy and some white stuff was in her eyes. When she died her eye kinda deflated... Then she started rolling around on the floor over and over again. She had babies and was a tan fancy mouse. Help! And thanks!

It is impossible to say how your pet died from your description, but I think she is unlikely to have died of eating tape as rodents are very used to gnawing on things to make holes and to get at food, without eating the material they chew through. Mice have a very fast metabolism so can suffer from illness and die very quickly without you having noticed anything wrong. Questions I would ask are were there any other signs of illness such as loss of appetite, squidgy poo, funny behaviour? Also, mice are very prone to cancer and sometimes can get them growing internally (as well as externally), restricting the windpipe and vital organs – these are not always visible.
Sorry about your loss, but no need to feel guilty – you obviously cared about your mouse or otherwise you wouldn’t be asking.

I even do not understand why your mouse died. I in basic terms wanted to say "i'm sorry" to take heed to this and save your chin up. Vet expenses might want to correctly be undesirable - we spent almost $1000 on a goat - and puzzled why even as he died besides..... so although in case you probably did get to the vet you may no longer have kept the mouse. It was most likely the tape. Either the mouse was poisoned by it, or the tape was stuck in its throat, prohibiting breathing. Sorry bout your mouse...

Why did you have tape in the cage ?
Sounds like she could have choked on it

maybe there were faint fumes from the tape that the mouse inhaled and it killed her. That is all I could think of. (aside from ingesting some tape... they do tend to chew on anything)

i think when you left the mouse said "ive had enuff...im going to end it once and for all and ate the tape...." my friend had a gerbal and they had tape in cage and same thing..
