I mean one you don't have to do too much to look after. Its for my daughter (who once killed her goldfish by poking them with a paint brush and feeding them rice crispies - before you scream at me, she was 2yrs old at the time and being naughty with the terrible two's). I can't even keep a plant, because they manage to die on me, and don't get me started on tamagotchis. No, I'm being serious. What are your suggestions?

Thankyou.

Sleepless nights! Can't understand the difference between a hedgehog and a porcupine? (Except the simple fact that they are different species...)

In Germany you don't have to tell the landlord about rabbits or cats. He has no right to forbid this animals as pets. And I just want to know how it is handled in the US.

i just got a ferret from a girl at my work ( she wasn't taking good care of him- ) and when i first got him ( skippy - my ferret) he was SO sweet and affectionate- he actually liked to be petted and cuddled, he never bit or scratched- but latley, when I try pick him up, and put him back in his cage- he tries to bite me.

i usually let him stay out for 2 hours- and he has a 4' x 4' cage.
why the sudden change?

Why is it that whenever someone has a problem with a hamster wheel that is NOT related to it having or not having rungs, people immediately jump in and chastise you for having a wheel with rungs and urge you to go buy a new one. You tell someone that it has crossbars and they suddenly assume that must mean it also has a runged surface. I'm getting tired of people telling me to get a wheel with a solid surface when I already have on. If I had a wheel with rungs and had problem with the rungs, I would say that my wheel had rungs. Why do people assume that just because you are asking a question in one area, it must mean you are not knowledgeable in any related area?

anyone got any neat names i could give to my 2 male rats, they are a little on the old side, like a year and a half, also no freaky names like cupcake, but nredy ones are ok, like 1 or 0. no names like cupcake or apples, but aslong as they arent on the gay man side, like super fruity, or something like that, and one has to be german, good or bad, and no hitler.

Is a ferret really a good pet to have? And is it really hard to keep one? At a regular pet shop, how much would one cost? I've been thinking about getting one. =]
