I love them!!! If you notice my name is GPlover, the GP standing for Guinea Pig! I have 2 little girls named Tulip and Lily. Just for the record they don't carry any more diseases than a cat or dog.

I love my guinea pigs but there's three things they do that drive me nuts. First - they make so much noise! I shouldn't complain, though. I love with 11 birds :-D .
Secondly, they make a huge mess! Their hay gets into everything and is a pain to vacuum up.
Thirdly, they stink. It's not a bad stink, but it does get annoying when you have more than two or three piggies.
Despite all this I would certainly have them again! They're cute! They're fun to goof around with and they're easier to tease than other rodent pets. All I have to do is copy their wheeking and all my guys think I'm gonna feed them treats :-D !

I do! I used to have one years ago called Herbie (named after the Volkswagen Beatle... before Lindsay Lohan butchered the series). He was a wonderful wee thing and had a pink ear and a brown ear. I was heartbroken when he died! He was all twsited and well... dead looking. My sister carried his body around for like two days after, I think she went slightly insane! But we burried him and I'm sure he is happily nibbling grass in guinea pig heaven.

I enjoy my pig. She is very sweet and nice to my kids they are 4 and 5. She is litter trained. She talkes when you say "piggy piggy". and she is very easy to care for. Yes they are smaller animals, but hamsters are cute. everyone likes them. I guess you would have to see a baby pig to totally fall in love.

how can you not like guinea pigs? they are so sweet you just gotta love them right...they do NOT carry dieases!!!!

My friend's kids have a couple, and they squeak constantly, smell bad, and just generally are annoying.
