The complete life cycle of Acheta Domesticus (the variety of crickets produced by almost all commercial growers) is approximately 8 to 10 weeks under ideal conditions. This does NOT mean that all crickets will live that long. Crickets often go through some degree of physical stress during the production, loading and shipping processes, which does shorten their life expectancy. The amount of stress depends upon the care taken to produce, package and transport them.
