Not like the airports or the Military they do emit high frequency pluses that bounce back into their ears when it strikes anything. how the echo returns tells them what's out there( bugs, other critters walls. fences, etc.) and for additional info they are not "Blind" they can see just fine, a positve aspect about them : they eat their weight in bugs in one night ,most of which are harmful to people and plants, protect them when possible

Yep, bats really do have radar. They call out into the night and whatever bounces back at them they can tell whether its good to eat or whether they should go in another direction.

Despite lots of beliefs though, bats aren't blind. They can see, but not that well.

No. What they use is sonar, which works on the same principle as radar only it uses sound rather than radio waves.

No, but they use echos to figure out their location. It's like radar

Sigh. It's not radar. It's echolocation. Look it up. Similar idea, yes -- but it's not radar.

yes they do! they use kinda like a sonar. They make a high pitched sound and as they fly the sound bounces off of objects to tell them if they are near things!

I think it's more like sonar. They send out a frequency and it bounces off of something and then comes back to them. That's how they tell where things are.
