i have a 6 year old ferret that i can't take care of anymore. he's healthy but he's quite the handful. he's a biter and pretty antisocial. i'm a lot more busy now than when i got him, and it's not fair for him to be stuck in his cage as much as he is. i called a rescue place awhile ago and they said because of his age they weren't too sure about taking him(even though he could easily live another 5-6+ years), and they tried to make me feel worse than i already do. also, most people i know don't want him because he's a biter. he's not a bad ferret though, he was just mistreated when he was younger(the owners before me abused him). i took him so he wouldn't be put to sleep or abused more. does anybody know what i could do, where i could go, to get him a happier, safe home?

If not, you should get one. :o They're quiet and they may possibly live longer than you so you don't have to worry about them dying after a few years.

Each year hundreds of innocent mares and foals are slaughter unnecessarily by The Wyeth Drug Company. The company manfactures the drug Premarin which is used as a hormone therapy in women. Premarin is a pill made from pregant mare urine. The company funds ranches to have these mare kept pregant to get their urine, The mares are kept in awful and inhumane conditions. Once the foals are born they are no use to the company so they are slaughtered along with the mares that can no longer make their quota. There are other alternatives to this drug that work the same, and the company's practice is unnecessary and cruel. Please help and sign the petition to end this cruel practice. Go to www.thepetitionsite.com/takeaction and look for PMU Mares and foals, its under animal welfare. Please help.

People who have multiple cats and/or are more engrossed with their cat(s) than normal pet owners seem to have a certain characteristic to their personality that I just can't describe. There also seems to be a relationship between these folks and latex allergies. I know it sounds crazy but I work in a hospital and see from 20-40 different patients daily. There are strange similarities among the "cat people" and latex allergy patients. Quite a few of these "cat people" are also latex allergy patients. Just curious if anyone else out there has noticed any of this?

my hamster, if you read my past entries, named gorby was abused, up untill now, it was going quite smooth, i would pop his cage and have hip take a treat from my hand, making him go farther every time, today, i woke up, cooked some corn beef hash, walked back to my room, and poped the cage again, no treat, and he reaced violently, he slammed his front paws into my finger attempting to push them to the ground. ive put my finger in there before without treats, and he never acted like this before, he was still afraid of me, but he wouldnt close his eyes when i got near, now its back to just like last week, all mean and anti-people. he does have a cage mate, and it appears to be jelous of him, he would try to steal treats from him, try to get him to move so he can sleep in his spot, hes jelous of stalin, and stalin never showed any aggression, hes got an angel like personality, never mean or anything, even when gorby gets mad at him, so stalin cant be the cause, i did clean the cage tho.
