If you are thinking about taking wild snails out of the garden to add to your pet snails, you would have to consider what else you may be fetching into the house with the wild snails- parasites/disease etc could be passed on to your pets from the snails you have plucked fom the wild.

If your common garden snails are British then no, because they come from very different habitats and will require very different set ups in their vivs. It would be considered unethical in zoo terms to house to two together in a "compromise" vivarium set up as neither animal will receive it's perfect habitat. You should aim to recreate as natural a habitat as you possibly can for each different species. As we put animals in to captive situations it is our duty to provide the best we can for them. Here endeth the lesson.

omg, why would you want to intermingle them? To take critter from its natural habitat and release it in a foreign one can have dire consequences. It may not have enough natural predators to keep the population in check or just the opposite may happen. Its not wise ecologically speaking.
