We're not allowed to have any pets at my school, except for fish, rocks, and plants. The administrators never gave us a definite answer why, though. I can understand not being able to have a dog or cat. Those are high-maintenance animals.
But what about guinea pigs? They're pretty low maintenance(I've had two)--the only issue is that they eat a lot. Should I start a petition and ask that small animals be allowed on our campus as pets?

I read that a rabbits nails need to be trimmed to avoid damage. However, I am scared to trim my rabbits nails because she moves her hand and won't let me, so i don't want to hurt/cut her. Taking her to the vet to get her nails trimmed, scares her half to death. Wt can I do?

I've been having trouble getting my horse to change leads, and sometimes he doesnt even pick up the right lead to start out with. What is the best/easiest way to train him to take the right lead? Also, on a slighly different note, what exersizes work well with horse riding? Like, what will build up the right muscles and stuff? I've been getting tired faster then I want to and I was wondering what I could do to get in better shape? Any ideas would be great!! Thanks so much!

This is the second time my horse has gotten an abscess on his face. His face gets really swollen and hard and has only a tiny hole where it drains. What causes this & do you have any suggestions as to caring for this? Has anyone else had this happen?

My dad brought home a baby bird one night after work. It had been in the road all day and survived. I took it in and raised it. i spent every minute i could with him. when i let him out of his cage, he would get on my shoulder or head and never wanted to get off. One day i ran out of his food, i made sure he had bird seed(i dont think he liked it) and lots of water. we own a restarant, so i was gone all day. i woke up the next morning and was going to feed him some bread we bought, he was gone. i was so close to him, and its my fault he is gone. i didnt tell anyone the first day because i didnt know how, so i wrote my mom a note. today i stayed home from work, i have been crying every minute i was alone, and all day today. i just dont know what to do. can anyone help me out?

p.s. i am only 14.

Please, Which pets are good for elven-year-olds that are not the most responsible people on earth, don't cost to much, their supplies don't cost to much, and can be found at a lot of pet shops?

Please also include links (websites) and also the costs if you know them.

I train Throughbred jumpers and I want to put a little more weight on them to build more muscle on them.
I feed Stradegy, Supplements and each horse gets about eight flakes a day. I must also mention, I feed them three times a day.

I think I am going to add rice bran to their diet.

I just don't want to make them too hot with so much grain.

Anyone?
Thanks
