mustangs are great horses, i have a gelding of my own, caught in the back country of my reservation in black mesa when he was still a young'n--i've had him now for about 8 years, he rides great on trails, he's sure footed and takes great care of riders of all ages-even if you never ridden a horse before, well mannered, sound, and gaited pretty well, -and thus far i have trained him to run barrels, rope of off, and compete in pole bending, and currently in the works of training to become a calf roping horse, great horse, couldn't ask for a better horse- unlike my arabian whose hot blooded whom i have to approach with a different method of training......

Always have liked Mustangs. A friend of mine had one many years ago, pretty little bay mare. She gave her to me a few years later. Fastest horse I ever rode. Sturdy, built like a Sherman tank.

There are many things wrong with what they do to the Mustang now-a-days. I don't like to hear that they are culling(shooting)the herds. My opinion is mankind screws things up when he starts poking around in what nature has been at for thousands of years. Mustangs are a part of this countries history, and the history of my people, I would like to see them treated as such.
