I'm getting a new mare, already have two others. Whats the best way to socialize all three of them without having a kicking contest? I spent alot of money on this new mare, I don't want her lamed on her first day!

PS I already have one mare who is pretty aggressive, IDK about this new girl

i have a hairless rat named jerry. for a while. when i first got his cage i put in towles as bedding. it seemed like a good idea but i had to change it often and it would smell really bad!!! then i switched to sredded up news paper but it was hard to manage. then i am back to the towles and it just doen't seem to be working because i have to wash it onstatlly and i have to waste alot of water for such a small load! if you have ever had any kind of rat htell me some good helpful answers. i NEED help. thanxs much

It seems that there are many choices when it comes to bedding/litter. Aspen bedding, pine shavings, cedar shavings, corn cob, wood chips, clay, Pelleted Pine Bedding, CareFresh...but what is best for a baby hedgehog? Does an adult need something differant?

My mother found a wild rabbit at somewhere in the woods. She brought him home. We are not sure if hes dying or what excatly is wrong with him? He is very weakness. He couldnt run, move, walk, or anything else. I tried my best to feed him with the water and rabbit food. He tried his best tho. since we cannot afford to send him to the vet. Id like to have your advices how to taking care of him? Do you have any best sources for me to research? Thanks!!

I'm having trouble on how much to feed my hamster treats. She eats them alot, but I don't want to over feed her. Should I feed them once/twice daily, weekly.. how many times weekly?

The poor little guy just fell from a bunk bed and now he's dragging one hind leg with a little blood on it (and chewing at it when he's awake). I did not see the accident happen, but I think he would have fallen onto fairly thick carpet below, or he'd likely be injured worse. He seems okay otherwise, as far as I can see, but I'm not a vet, and have only had the hamster a day. The vet's offices and pet store are closed for the long weekend (which just started). Does anyone know FROM EXPERIENCE the best way to deal with this? Links to articles would be helpful, too. I'm not having much luck finding anything to helpful online. Are there painkillers for hamsters? Should I splint it? Solutions to help it heal properly?
What do I watch for? Etc.....

We are all terribly distraught about this (especially the youngster that made the mistake) and are reconsidering even owning a pet since even a hamster can cause this much sadness upon injury! Help for sadness???

I have a very sick ferret named Snowball. She has been sick for a long time. She is ate up with cancer and I feel so sorry for her. My son is gone tonite and I want to put Snowball out of her misery. There is no chance of her getting any better or I would not be asking this. I want to send her on over the rainbow. How can I do that with the medicine I have here at home. I have access to the following meds:

Naprosen 1000mg
Sleeping pills
Nyquil
Oxycodine

Any suggestions or direction. I can crush the pills and dilute them in water and syrynge them to her.
