I think maybe one more should do it lol but I agree with you I think theres just as many horse questions (maybe more) as dog and cats. Maybe if we get enough people to write letters or e-mails theyll make a category for horses.

The way I see it. Horses are not the top questions on "other pets" subcategory. I see a lot of hamsters, snakes, birds, dogs and other animals.
So, however is asked. There is no limit and if their is a subcategory. It would make it easier on those who are just interested in Equines.

Only Yahoo! knows the answer to this question. The only other equine category is Horse Racing under Sports. There is more to horses than just racing,,,
Horses could have their own category, which would decreases the amount of questions I, or anyone for that matter, have to scroll through. But until then, we just keep on scrolling through 'em...

Yahoo! Answers tries to appeal to a broad range of questioners, and tries to subcategorize as many categories as possible.
While there appear to be a good number of horse-related questions, it make sense to leave the horses with the dogs, cats, iguanas, parakeets, and all the other beloved animals that are part of the household. Trying to make a category for each species of animal would take a huge amount of space!

Few ppl have horses as pets esp in countries like Singapore, u cant have horses as pets.
Most people take care of horses to use them to race or for enjoyment so its more as a sport, recreation than pets.
Thats jus my own opinion tho..
Furthermore, pet shops dun sell horses......
