well every one has said blanket so far.. but in horse terms i know it to be called a rug lol...
its called a stable rug and it keeps them warm.. however u dont have to use one.

I guess you are probably thinking of a blanket or sheet. Although most of the time you really don't need to do that. I only blanket my horses in the dead of winter when its freezing inside and outside of the barn.

a blanket? horses actually DO retain their body heat very well. they have adapted to centuries of being outside. a horse should really only be blanketed in the winter when it is the coldest, unless they are outside all the time. any other time a simple sheet will suffice.

A horse blanket,but they don't have to wear one at night.They also can be worn in winter,but again they don't have to wear one.
