If you are in the USA call your local game Commission but be care full a lot of those are on the endangered species list and there could be problems if yours is one of them. If there is a local college they have departments that have people that know these things or just google and and go to your states wild life page and look it up.
I hope you return it to where you found it after you find out. These do not make good pets.

DO NOT KEEP THIS AS A PET. It is illegal to keep most wildlife and last I knew most reptile and frog species were not thriving, so you may contributing to the extinction of a species by not aloowing this animal to be fruitful and multiply.
And most sick reptiles I see are because people are ignorant of how to care for them properly.

check wether he is having stars on the shell and also check whether he's shell is like roof tent.if stars are present then it is star turtle.if tent shaped shell is there then it is roof tent turtle.
