If your in a cold climate get a Bernese mountain dog. For a warm climate get a short haired collie. If its in between get a lab.

Horses, Pigs, Dogs Cats are probably the best. (I wouldn't get a lizard snake or mouse.)

Ducks are great, otherwise any hardy breed of dog. German Shepard, Huskie, Rottie, Lab...
