Hello, I was thinking about possibly getting a Morkie. I've researched both the Yorkie and the Maltese breeds. I've found that Maltese should be under 7lbs preferrably 4-6lbs and Yorkie should not exceed 7lbs. I've also researched videos on "YouTube" of people who own a Morkie to see what the dog will look like when it gets older because as we all know puppies are cute and adorable but we often forget what's in stores later on. BUT I also know that when you have a mix breed it usually gets BIGGER than that of the purebreed genitics. I've also researched what/how their temperment is like but I had little to no luck on that. To people who own a morkie or know someone that owns a Morkie, How big do Morkies really get? What's their temperanet like? Are they "easy" to train? What are the most noticeable charecteriistic that the Morkies resemble from the Yorkie and the Maltese?

I have a really sturdy table i wanna put my 55 gallon fish tank on, but it's only about 3 feet 4 inches long, and the fishtank is 4 feet long... you think it would be ok to overhang it a bit?

My dog is small enough that I can pick him up when he is in danger. But yesterday when I did this, the attacking dog (which was not on a leash) jumped on me and bit my arm to get at my dog. I feel this is no longer a good strategy.

While he is suckling, nothing is touching his penis, he even spreads his legs apart. I am not sure if this is normal or if I should be worried. I don't understand why his penis becomes so "active" while he seems to be doing something I thought was related to comfort and nurturing.
Does anyone have guidance on this.

Planning to get a 35 gallon pond in my backyard. Which Goldfish would do better in a pond of that size and how much of them can i put in there. here are my options, Ryukins, Orandas, or Shubunkins. If it matters, i live in california and the coldest it gets here is about 35 degrees f (nightime) through 60 (daytime) from mid november- february. I am open to other goldfish type suggestions if any. No answers about "get a bigger pond." please!!! .thanks to the people who answer.

A neighbor's cat is in the yard all the time --- stalking wild birds (mostly migrating sparrows) and squirrels -- every couple of days -- I find a lot of feathers in the yard -- was just wondering -- can a cat get sick from eating wild birds? thanks

My female molly has been pregnet for over 6 weeks, EASY!
Last time she droped her fry, she did so at 4 weeks. Like most of my mollys .
Is it possible that the fry have died inside my molly and she can not deliver them. Or is she stressed cause i have had her in and out of the breeding net because she looks like she is ready to drop all the time as i want to keep the fry away from my other fish in the tank.
What can i do to help her as she does not look comftable with her self.
I tried inducing her by putting the temp up 2 degrees. This has not worked.
I was going to put her back in the big tank and just let her go till next time. But i am concerned that the fry are dead inside her. and this may kill her as well.
Thanks for any help you can give me. Jasmin

I HAD 4 small mix breed dogs. All but 1 has come down with an illness and the vet can't tell me what it is or how to keep them from getting it. The symptoms include: laziness, lack of appetite, tremors, then seizures. It starts with them just being lazy for a few days, then they will stop eating/drinking, The tremors start and within a few hours later they will begin seizing. Has any one else experienced this?

I don't know but he doesn't really do anything, he's stuck in his cage with a house, a log, and water. I feed him and stuff but I wonder if he ever hates his life? I feel really bad for him sometimes... But can they feel things like that? Or what can I do to make his life a little bit happier?

The question is pretty much self explanitory..
I have an older cat, and I am just wondering how I can get her live to her full extent.
Also, how old do cats generally live to?

Just bought an apple snail a few days ago and wanted to know about breeding them:

1. Can they lay eggs on their own or do they require another snail?

2. Is there anything special i need to do to get them to breed or to take care of the babies? Or are they fine on their own?

Please don't leave other information, what i'm asking is what I want. I'm an experienced breeder, please don't treat me like a novice.

How much more work is it to have two dogs, rather than just one? I have one dog now, and I really don't have any problem with taking care of her. I mean I don't see it as a burden at all. We have a schedule for walks, going out to go potty, feeding times etc. We take her every where with us, from just to go pick up a movie from the video store, to going on a weekend trip to the cottage. I enjoy having my dog with me every where, and she enjoys the company of other dogs. I want to adopt a second dog. He is a senior black lab. So he is pretty mellow. Have you been in a similar situation? Is it very different from owning just one dog? I don't know if I am going to be able to adopt him yet, but I am looking for answers that might help incase we do adopt him.

It's 10 pm. I have a stray cat at my front porch, meowing. I gave him some food, he didn't eat, I guess he wants to get inside for some warmth (its cold outside here). He's clearly a house cat as I handled him and he was very nice, clean, and completely declawed. There are no tattoos that I could spot, and no collar. I don't know if he has a chip. All animal control, local vet hospitals, and pet stores are closed for the night. I can't let him in the house, I have 2 small kittens and I don't know how they'll react nor want to try to find out. What should I do?

I'm very upset. My dog is my best friend. She is a 8 1/2 year old female and she is a chocolate lab. She's really big like 80 pounds. We got her when she was a puppy (like 1 year old or somewhere around that). She always growls at me and other people. My stepdad always yells at her and he thinks that solves it. It's not working! I'm very upset and I want my dog to change her behavior. Any tips please!?

Is it true that if you can clearly see the whites of a horse's eyes that it is flighty, unpredictable, or aggressive? What about if a horse has blue eyes? Is there any sort of genetic link between eye pigmentation and temperament at all?

I have started blanketing my ponies and horses. It is getting down to the early 40's and upper 30's at night. I have an arabian pony that has never grown a heavy coat and I have owned her for nine years. Another TB mare that we own has been through more than 5 surgeries and nearly a year later is just gaining most of her weight back. Yet another one of my ponies is clipped. I have been blanketing them and leaving sheets on during the day when its supposed to be below 65. My mother and I have gotten into a rather big argument about me to quick to blanket, is she right in her reasoning? I am doubting myself now. Is it ok that I am putting medium weight blankets on at night and leaving sheets on chillier days?

I thought my pardise gourami was pregnant but it looks like the scales are messed up on the swollen part of it's stomach. It usually sits at the top of the tank and the male gourami checks on her. Is she pregnant or is something wrong?

This is the girl who supposedly was going to "kick her cat out of the house!" I would never do that, I love all of my animals dearly. My main concern is the litter box. The older cat does enjoy being outside, but she lives inside. So, the litter is a keeper if she is!! I scoop it out every day and we keep it very clesn. Actually, my husband is currently cleaning it b/c I am pregnant. Can the litter box make a baby sick?? This is our first child and I am not sure how all of this will effect everyone (baby and pets!!). I value other opinions and suggetions when it comes to pets. If you have any suggestions, please answer me back. Just no bashing please!!
