She's a yellow lab and isn't acting lethargic, she is acting healthy other than she decided to go on a hunger strike. I found out she'll only eat if I toss the food at her one kernel at a time so she catches it in mid-air. I can't spend that much time feeding her every day, and she's barely eaten in the last 5-6 days due to this. She's energetic and normal otherwise. She's been eating the same food for a few years and never minded it before (Iams). Any suggestions?

My cat Marcie loves to toss litter out. I've gotten boxes with high walls, even a box with a cover, but it's like she grabs a big handful of litter and goes "Whee!" while tossing it everywhere. Any suggestions?

my dog has been on herv break for over 6 weeks now, is this right? she had a bleed for about 2-3 weeks x had no bleed for 10 days and has now started to bleed again, she has been bleeding rather heavy now for over 10 days,surely this aint right x

Hi, I am getting a girl hamster who is a pale eared banded cream. Whic means shes a cream color with a horizontal white stripe in the middle. I was thinking I would name her CremeBrule for short CB. So what do you think??? Also please give me any other unique names that you have.

Without killing him, getting rid of him, hitting or hurtinghim in anyway. He is declawed and fixed and he continues to bite, hard and doesnt let go! I have tried spraying him but it has not solved the problem. He is a sweet cat, but sometimes he goes "overboard"

okay, i have a puppy named Daisy she is 5 months old and she bites me hard! she likes to jump and bark at people that walk by, she thinks bitting is a game! how can i make her stop besides replacing my fingers for toys she would bite me on my toes, arm, hand and fingers, pull my hair and try to drag me around the house, and she even bit me ear so hard that at the top of my ear i pulled something and it drew blood and i still have it like 2 months later! HELP I NEED TO STOP THIS MESS! MY FRIENDS EVEN TALK ABOUT HER AND DO NOT WANT TO SEE HER OR ME!

Last week I found a kitten and i brought him home. I took him to the vet and they said he was fine. This morning she threw up worms. looks like spaghitti. I can't go to the vet they are not reopening for the holidays till Jan 2. answering service says its not live threating. Please don't say go to another vet as I'm in rural newfoundland and the nearest vet is 5 hours away. I heard that giveing giving a kitten garlic powder in its food will help get rid of the worms does any one no if this is true.

he''s three months old, he can't walk straight (looks like a serious drunk with his back feet which doesn't really look like it's supporting him), can't jump down and land on his feet (even from a person's lap), can barely jump - the rest of the distance he climbs...

there is no vets here to take my kitten to.... what should i do?

I am dealing with an 11 pound pekingese during her first ever pregnancy. I just recently found out that she is due to have puppies any time now. She is my baby, and is very small. The vet didn't express any certain worry in her size and the delivery of what she said to be "very big pekingese puppies". I am worried for her because i love her dearly and don't want something to go wrong.
Also,
I am certain she is over 63 days pregnant. Her belly has been alive with movement for the past five days now and just today has quieted down a lot. The puppies heartbeats are still strong and healthy but they are significantly quiter in their movements than they have been. Her temp is about 100.0 now, was 98.6 earlier. She still has an appetite. Isn't nesting.. She is a confusing little doggie. But I am sure it's because she has NO idea what's going on with her.
Any advice at all would be greatly appreciated.
(I know the basics..nesting, panting..etc..anything else I need to know??)

She is 13 months, smart as a whip, but chews up all her toys within minutes of getting them. Ive tried taking them away when I see her chewing them up and ripping them, but its not working It doesnt matter if they're stuffed, balls, etc..They are destroyed in minutes. I hate to not give her toys, because they keep her busy, when we arent playing or walking, but who can afford to constantly buy new toys (every week I have been) Ive bought those undestructable toys, but she's not interested in them. Any advice would be great.

Specifically we want a mid sized dog, relatively energetic as my Dad is still active (but not overly so)..

Short hair (he won't like a dog that sheds much)

Warm climate (QLD Australia), huge yard, preferably not a hunter (lots of wildlife around his place)..

I have had 2 x 3cm little black moors for just over a week in a community tank. Today one has developed SBD and floats to the top and keels over onto his side. Why does this happen? I noted that answers seem to suggest he will die.

he i very tired, he can barely bark, he doesnt walk around as much, he immediatly falls asleep, if we arent covering him with a blanket he is shaking a lot.., his nose is very warm, and all he does is sleep, all day. he wont drink water unless we bring him to the water. he usually gets up when there are any visitors at the door but we found him in the main bedroom sleeping when they came. he is very unactive and im worried, i may bring him to the vet in the morning. but what do you think?

My dog has succeeded in confusing me. To start with, when she came into heat and I had hopes on breeding her to my other little male pekingese..the vet said he had a very low sperm count. two months later.. i go to a different vet to find out my little lady is pregnant with at least two puppies (could ONLY be by him)..and is expected to deliver at any date given the pretty heftiness of these little pups. So, it's been five dates since I took her in.. I have been taking her temperature.. It was 100.6 at the vet..went down to 99.5..back up to 100.2... today is was 98.6.. i was certain it was going to happen today, but it shot back up to 100.1. She is acting very docile, (her usual behavior). Her vulva is a tad bit more swollen than it was yesterday.. the puppies aren't moving near as much.. but she really isn't showing any real signs of labor. I thought the temp drop was a dead give away.. WHAT'S GOING ON?? I am so confused. & Due to the holiday..i can't call the vet. Any advice???

I bought some chiclids (yellow labs, electric blues & cobalt blues) about 45 days ago. They were only about 1" when I bought them and some of them are already up to 2" (most are only at about 1 1/2" still) What is the average growth rate for chiclids? How long until they get to be the huge 5" and bigger size? I know that they will all grow at their own rate and according to how much I feed them and tank size...so I am just asking in general, but here's my details...I feed them 2 times per day, 9 fish (3 of each) in a 55 gallon tank.

my cat is 15 years old and i just noticed her eye teeth are crooked and one is about to fall out.the vet is on vacation until jan,18.what can i do for her.she will not eat hard food anymore but she will eat soft foods and baby food,and she has lost about 3 pounds,but seems to be content,but does not eat as much as she use to.

I've got a 9 week old Tonkinese kitten who has the cat flu. I picked her up when she was approx. 6-7 weeks old and she has been sick since then because the "BREEDER" thought that if the kittens are inside cats, they don't need vaccinations. She didn't worm, flea, vaccinate etc. She bred a LOT of cats there, all from the one Burmese male that lives ALONE in the SHED in the backyard! There were many little kittens living in her home. I've spent over $400 in vet bills due to this - in ONE day.

As I have another two kittens (11 weeks + 7 months), I'm afraid that they could get it. My 11 week old is already showing discharge from her right eye.
I went to the vet last week and was supposed to get some medication that the vet had to give (we couldn't do it ourself) but was unable to attend. Since then, I haven't been able to go to the vet due to money restraints. Is there anything I can do until next Tuesday? I know it sounds awful but I just can't take them yet.
