Just saying it is a puffer is not enough. There are tons of different kinds of puffers. This particular one is the Diodon holacanthus.

The puffer fish, also called blowfish, swellfish, globefish, balloonfish, bubblefish. They are named for their ability to inflate themselves to several times their normal size by swallowing water or air when threatened.they have four large teeth, which are used for crushing the shells of crustaceans and mollusks, their natural prey. They also enjoy the occasional bloodworm. The eyes and internal organs of most puffer fish are highly toxic.
This is an ocean fish. Salt water tanks can be difficult to maintain and pricey to set up.
I would definantly do research before taking on a saltwater tank.
GOOD LUCK!

Neon tetra's are a vibrant fish, yet they only substitute right into a around 2". i like the flamboyant Tail Guppies their colours are tremendous and that they provide beginning to stay toddlers (you may wish a place for the toddlers to conceal or the mothers and fathers will consume them). yet another suited Fish is a pink tail black shark, they advance to approximately 3-4" (they do no longer seem to be guy ingesting sharks) have exciting with setting up the aquarium!

This is a pufferfish.
There are many different varieties of pufferfish including globefish and the Japenese fugu. (These are poisonous and can only be prepared in restaurants by licensed chefs.)
I am not quite sure what variety og pufferfish this is in the picture, but I'm sure someone at a tropical or exotic fish store wold be able to locate one for you.

It is a blowfish, puffer, and is only found in saltwater tanks. If you are an amatuer I wouldnt think it would be a very good idea for you to start off with a saltwater tank.

My fishy friend you have found is a puffer fish.
Otherwise known in Japan as,
Fuyu.
[Foo-goo]
I wouldn't consider getting this as a pet unless you know how to look after it, it is an exotic fish.
