he''s three months old, he can't walk straight (looks like a serious drunk with his back feet which doesn't really look like it's supporting him), can't jump down and land on his feet (even from a person's lap), can barely jump - the rest of the distance he climbs...

there is no vets here to take my kitten to.... what should i do?

Has it always been this way? Has it ever been injured? It sounds like he has little control of his back limbs which could be caused by an injury or deformity. Does the cat seem 'normal' in every other way? Even if it's something that a vet couldn't fix, animals are very good at adjusting to disabilities. If the cat seems lethargic, doen't eat or relieve itself normally, then I would suggest you drive as far as you need to for a professional examination. Otherwise, if he doesn't seem to be in pain (and healthy in other areas) he'll probably get around as best as it can and still be happy. Good luck!

If it's something that he's always done, I wouldn't be concerned. Does he have all of his whiskers, or any problem with his whiskers? If a cats whiskers are screwed up then it messes up their equilibrium. My Siamese walk sideways and is clumsy at times, but that's just how she's always been. If this just started happening, exam him for any kind of injuries to his legs and or hips. You can gently massage them and he will let you know if he is hurt. If you can't find anything, or the problem gets worse, I would do your best to get him to a vet. A few hours of driving is better then having to put your cat down because he had a problem that could be fixed.

Something is very seriously wrong!

There must be a vet you can get kitty to for an exam!

Contact the state veterinary medical association and ask where the nearest practice is. Just google for "NameOfYourState Veterinary Medical Association" and you'll find it.

If you're not in the USA there must be a provincial or national veterinary medical association that you can contact.

i watched a show the other day and the kitten couldn't do anything but drag it's back legs. the problem was that it had nerve damage in it's back legs. the best thing to do for the kitten, besides getting it help, would be to show it a lot of love. a lot of times, all animals need is a little bit a of love and it makes everything okay. trust me, i had a badly beaten up pit bull and i showed him all the love i could and he turned out just fine, just a little strong (as he broke the fence...lol).

Since we are dealing with a kitten, maybe this problem will disappear as he grows up.

Still, you should find a vet and have him/her look at your kitten. If nothing else, look up some animal hospital websites and send an e-mail asking for advice.
