i brought home a 7wk kitten two days ago from the local humane society. she will only eat can food which leads to question one below and also, i am using tidy cats small spaces kitty litter. that would lead to question two.

1.) is it safe for the kitten to eat only can food? and when and how do i introduce dry food to her

2.) is this type of cat litter flushable? when i scoop out her bathroom mess, is it safe to put the clumps down the toilet?

I have a 1 year old lab who spends about 7 hours a day in her kennel while I work, the PROBLEM IS I WORK AT HOME, AND SHE KNOWS I'M HERE so she whines all day for me. She has been feed early am and has been outside to potty prior to being kenneled up for the day at 9:00am. I let her out at my lunch break to play for a few minutes and to potty but then it's back in her kennel till 5:00pm. This is no different situation than if I went out to work at an office in the morning. I wish I could just let her out while I work but she is a very energetic 1 year old and I cannot have the distrations she brings while I am on a deadline. I'm ready to head back to commuting to the office every day just to get away from the noise. What can I do to get her to stop her constant whining???

My cat is about 2 years old and he is chewing EVERYTHING. The other day I found the plug for my Christmas lights not connected to the string of lights, he chews shoes, the plug for my computer... and then he goes behind the TV and chews the cords. I try and stop him but sometimes I am not home. One of these days he is going to get electrocuted. I dont want anything to happen to him. Anyone have any tips???

my brother said that his vet told him to keep switching his cats food to find one that doesn't make it sick. it has irritable bowel syndrome and possibly food allergens. he said the ingredient that he thinks his cat is allergic to is the dried egg product. is there any cat foods out there w/o egg product? does anyone else have this problem? his cats fur is starting to fall out and it has acne on its chin.

I train young horses, they know the difference between a soft but sturn hand from a sturn and rough hand.Horses that are worked within respect of age, maturity and willingness are more likely to give and are more secure.(This is a long term training).A lot of people don't understand that they do not need to hold down the horse to submission, for the horse to give you what want. The horse is trained before it's 2, ready or not.(Short term training).
My horses pick their potential new owners, and run away when it's a no-no.What is your opion on this.

I'm thinking about buying a five gallon filtered tank for a betta fish to put in my office at work. Five gallon is the MAX i'm alloud to have here. I have a 29 gallon and 10 gallon tank at home, so I'm not a complete newbie to fish. My question is, would two females and a male get along... is that too small of a tank for that many fish, and would one male be okay by himself with maybe a few ottos in the tank to help keep things clean if I didn't get the three bettas? Any other betta advice? thanks!

4 YO indoor cat, the vet said she wants to do a detailed cleaning (w/anesthesia, and that there's at least 1 cavity. But she only briefly looked in the mouth. I had another cat have it done at 11 YO, but I would think 4 is kind of young to be showing gingivitis, etc. I almost think the vet just needs the cash, as harsh as that sounds. They talked me into a LOT of procedures for my other cat and ultimately said 'Oh he's fine'
Your suggestions about the teeth of the younger one? We just started brushing her teeth.
