I'm wondering if my papillon is diabetic. He has started needing out about every 15-30 minutes while awake & drinks lots of water & eats lots of food. Do you know the signs of a diabetic pet or a good medical site for animals?

a diabetic dog usually goes into a comatose stage and does not want to eat or drink . This sounds like your dog has epilepsy instead of diabetes. Yes dogs can be epileptic . So most definately check this out as well good luck and god bless and happy holidays.

Here is a site from a Vet on Diabetes in dogs. You will need your Vet to run tests to determine if your dog is diabetic and then prescribe whatever your dog needs according to weight, etc. GL with your puppy.

http://www.caninediabetes.org/ if your dog does have it, this site might also help. It does sound like possible diabetes, but there are other things that may also cause such symptoms.
