There is a jack russle terrier in our trailor park, she has owners but they let her stray and she has untreated medical conditions and I went to the owner to have her permission to take her in. They leave her out in the cold and rain and they dont feed her, but they said no I cant have her, I let her in to sleep at night and I feed her and keep her in when it's cold. I have the money and time to care for her so could she do anything if I just took the dog in and kept it as mine. The dog had puppies too and she was so uncared for they all died but 2 wich other people took in and cared for. I just dont want to get in any trouble

While I understand giving your baby the occasional treat, I'm appalled at the number of people here who regularly give their cats rice, wheat, or corn based food, or vegetable or dairy. When was the last time any of you saw a lion on the Discovery Channel who was munching on a root?? Cats eat MEAT and nothing else...they are pure carnivore and need the Taurine in meat to live. Filling them with the rest of aforementioned garbage will only lead to long-term health problems. Am I right or what??

I've had a community tank together for a fews months now, and the first thing I always do when I see it is count heads. Does one ever stop doing this, or am I doomed to be an eternal fish counter?

Stallion is 3.5 yrs. old and Gelding is 10 yrs. They fight with fences between them. Will they EVER get along? I don't have any mares or other horses. Just the 2 of them. Any idea how I can get them to get along in same pasture? Or is it just wishful thinking?

I had this stray cat come by everyday, but when I went to let my dog out, the cat got in my house. It does not let me pet it, so I cannot pick it up to place it back outside. It does not want to go back out, instead it is hiding in my basement. What can I do to make her or him go back outside.

The life expectancy for an outdoor cat is about seven years and for an indoor cat its only a couple years or so more. My cat Jessi - a calico - is a 14-year-old outdoor cat who likes to prowl not only our four-acres, but our neighbors' properties all around us at night (its a rural area). Call me a cat-lover, because its true - I prefer cats over all and I've become really attached to this particular furball; Hell, she's kept me sane through trying times. She's starting to show signs of aging and I worry whenever she's outside at night for extended periods of time - I mean, she's come home bearing signs of struggle before - nicks, scratches, puncture wounds, and sometimes a chunk missing here and there over the years - but lately I've been losing sleep over it, dreading that one night she won't come back. She's my best friend. Is it crazy of me to be this attached to a cat? Is there something wrong with me?

i`m thinking of buying this horse, he is a 5 year gelding, very sweet but two questions, 1st question is he picks up three hoofs but fights for the fouth, i can get it up but it takes awhile.

hes not sore or anything i can lunge him and hes fine not limping.

2nd question is when i`m riding him he spooks in the far long side of the paddock, but when i lunge him hes fine.

he comes when i call him from the feild, he is a really nice mover.

how should i break him from this two problems.

he would be my 5th horse as my other 4 are getting older and are mostly pets now expect for a couple light lessons.

thanks

I just received my new custom Schleese saddle, what is THE BEST leather oil and conditioner to darken it? I'd like my new bridle to darken considerably too.

is there any way to have a friendly quaker? of course the kids will be supervised, but just in case they sneak up,how hard do they bite? we have budgies that have bit them(one drew blood) and although they werent afraid, they gave them their space but im sure a quakers bite will be worse. i also heard they are good talkers, is it true? how about parrotlets? what are they like? thank you all very much. have a good day!!! :O)

My puppy is only 6 months old and has been to the vet a few times, his next appointment is in 2 weeks. I can't wait that long! He is walking just fine, but has trouble getting up, he puts all his wieght on his front legs.

I'm so worried; will I have to put him down?, is he in a lot of pain?, will it get worse?.

Suppose your a suburban family with 2 incomes and 2 children and live in a hectic city. Theirs is a hectic lifestyle, but the main focus of the family is on providing a happy, secure environment for their children. Typically they have one fairly large dog, such as a Labrador or a golden retriever. The dog is part of the family, and his or her major role is to be a companion for the children. Now what kind of products that would make it easier to have a dog for their children with their busy lifestyle. Something that hasnt been made or thought up as. I thought of one, but need a few more ideas. My idea was to have doormat where it was easier for the dogs paws to get cleaned before he comes inside, especially when it is rainy and muddy outside. Any other ideas for products that would sell?

I have a Doberman pup who was cropped a medium length at 8 weeks. He's now 15 weeks. My vet and I have been very diligent in aftercare and posting the ears (and letting them rest for a few days between postings) and ever since the first posting, they've stood quite nicely on their own.

This isn't really a problem (lol) - I just would like to know if we are done with the ear wrapping, or if he is still too young to have finished ears. This seemed "too easy" compared to the months and months of posting that some people said I'd have to go through, and I don't want to ruin his ears if leaving them untaped at this age is bad. They stand totally straight, though, and it's been three days and nights with no support on them.

Thanks guys. :)

We 2 cats in our apartment. one 9 year old female and a 3 month old (NOT FIXED) male. the litter box is kept in the bathroom (smells terrible) but the entire apartment smells like the litter box. we have hardwood floors entirely, so i dont think any of the cats peed anywhere. the smell is disgusting and embarrassing, how do i get rid of it? (i wish i could just tell my roommate i dont want cats in there, but its too late now lol). we cant keep the bathroom door closed cuz obviously thats where their litter box is and im always spraying the place with that febreeze odor neutralizer stuff but it dont work.

But her energy and attitude is great, like nothing is wrong. I don't see worms....anything I should check for? Any ideas why she's not eating?

BTW she has always been a scooter. Vet told us that she is just emptying her glands or has an itchy butt :) but I've noticed it more than usual.
