Hi Helen...generally cats will return home when they become hungry if no one else is feeding your kitty. Consider leaving some food, water and a small box with bedding (something preferably with her scent) outside the door to encourage her to return.

honestly, it depends on the cat. One of my cats was terrified by our new dog, and would only sneak in at night for a bite to eat and a warm place to sleep. Then she disappeared for good. Other cats will get over it and come back to the place they know is home. It really depends on the cat and how badly they were traumatized by the dog. I hope your kitty find its way home safely!

Has your cat come home yet, if not try finding out if the local radio has a lost pet section. Hope your cat is already home if not don't give up hope just yet. Cats know where they are best off!

it might take a while for it to feel safe enough to come back but it will, try puttin food outside and leavin ur door open then it will keep comin nearer and it will realise the dog has gone.if ur cat didnt like the dog, tell ur visitor not to bring it next time.

Put out food, and call for it, and look out for it and put up "lost" signs if he has been gone for a while. He may well have adopted new owners, but you can get him back by advertising.
