Get a job and buy one with the money you earn. Make sure you're earning enough for the stable, feed, etc.

Well

Start smaller..... show you are responsible for other smaller animals first...

dont beg.. I know if our daughter begs for something its a no period.

A horse is a huge thing... even if the horse itself is cheap... costs to keep are not.. they are expensive and need alot of care.. Vet care is coslty too as the vet has to come to you

If you have to board the horse because you dont have room at your home then its even more,,plus itmeans driving to and from the boarding facility to care for the horse and spend time with it..

Its also hard to sell a horse if you decide you do not have time for it later....

I would urge you to volunteer helping at a local stable or other horse related place boarding facility and take that opportunity to learn how to care for a horse, and everything that is involved.. plus you can usally ride them as well
I would do this and it will give you a new outlook on the whole picture care and costs involved.. and after you do this for a while if you still want the horse you will be able to go to your parents and make a much better argument . Also save your money now.. and if you end up still wanting the horse later then check local ASPCA as they often confiscate horses that are in need of good homes and they are perfectly fine. Thent hey will not be too expensive and youd be helping out a homelss animal.

Good Luck

Horses are expensive, and their care and board is even more expensive. Do your research and find a dollar amount for them - find out how much it will cost to buy a horse, and then care for, feed and board one. You'll also want to write down the time commitment involved. Once you have everything written down, and you've showed them that you can make enough money to pay for at least 1/2 the costs, you may have a winning argument. Good luck!

By the way, you should be getting good grades for YOU and your future - not to earn anything. If you ever want a job that pays you enough to keep you in horses, you'll have to get good grades and a good education.

you have to understand that horses are very expensive , not just to buy, but to feed, and vet bills if needed. maybe you can get an afterschool job, and save up your money. show them some responsibility for your future horse. its you who wants the horse, not them. so they shouldnt have to be totally responsible. keep in mind that if you dont have a place where you live to keep it, then you will also need to come up with appropriate stable needs. and dont forget how much all that tack can cost.

Honey, a horse brings on very high expenses. Do you even have a place to house him? How committed are you to caring for the animal? They live long lives, you know...

Maybe that is what your parents are waiting for, you to show them that you not only get good grades, but also stick to your responsibilities. And who knows, Santa is coming around the corner...

You're doing the right thing by keeping your grades up. But it takes more actions to convince them you're ready. Are you doing chores at home? Are you helping them whenever and wherever you can? Sometimes you have to work extra hard for what you want. It makes the taste sweeter. Hugs sweetie, you'll get your wish.
