we have a possum that comes onto our verandah and lets us pat it I think the last owner of the house must of fed them.

It happened while I as putting on his Jacket like I have done for the last 2 years and all of a sudden he freaked and would not let me put his Jacket on and than he bit me
Any tips on how to put his jacket on without him biting me again

I have a 12 gal aqua pod with 2 damsels in it. The problem is that I have an exceptionally healthy piece of live rock in the center with LOTS of very delicate corals on it. The damsels live and sleep inside the complex maze the rock is made up of., so I want to avoid touching it or moving it if at all possible. Any thoughts on getting rid of those damsels?

1st of all, I know this has gone on for a bit and I am not one 2 rant; if you people must kno my whole life.I offered 2 take my cat Kittie from someone who was going 2 dump her 1 yr ago. I lived in Texas moved to Cali I live with my mom and she already has 4 cats and 1 dog I just added more pets 2 the household.I asked her if it bugged her and she said no I started the spaying process (i was already preg.).she got her shots and 1 day she just showed up w/ a bigger belly (someone let her out) she is an indoor cat.I was so heartbroken because she was about 2 get spayed she had an APPT already.i called the humane about 6 weeks ago 2 schedule an appt 2 get her spayed again and they told me i had 2 wait 8 weeks.now my mom is moving 2 a nicer home and i really don't want 2 have her home full of animals.call me a loser i dont care.there are days where i dont want 2 give her up but i just feel like i need 2. i dont know i dont want 2 sound SELFISH should i just keep her and see how it works?

um. my cat won't let me hold him. he just meows like a dog . and sometmes he even growls. i am not kidding. it's kinda weird

I have 2 Maltese. Baby (my boyfriend's female Maltese) who is 1.5 yrs old moved in with me when my boyfriend moved in 6 mos. ago. About 1 mo after moving in, I got a male Maltese, Dartagnan for Baby as a companion. At the breeder's, Dartagnan was very shy & was constantly hiding under the couch when his brother & sister would want to play & chase each other. He was a scared little thing, constantly hiding in corners... so I decided to take him. Dartagnan who is now 6 mos. is constantly biting Baby or chasing her around. I can't really tell when they are playing or not. I don't hear squeals so I can't tell but it looks pretty aggressive to me. They sometimes stand on their hind legs & look like they at each other's throats... When I try to pet one, the other comes & bites the other dog or pulls my hand. Dartagnan give dirty type of glares when I call Baby to come. He stands in front of me & blocks her from coming to me. And then he comes instead of her. How do I stop this?

I have a little kitten , his name is Litlle JJ , he loves to play with my old cat coco . She gets really mad when she sees him. He plays with her tail while she eats . He follows her around and chases her. How can I make them get along . nothing mean and cruel . Why does my little cat love to play with her. He has alot of toys . I play with him all the time . I have tried everything the pet stores are telling me to do to lower the amonnia levels. I have added chemicals & emptied 50% water and readded water and nothing works for very long. The aquarium has been set up for 3 weeks.

A dog I got from the pound is very friendly to our family and neighbors, but as soon as some blacks come near, our dog barks viciously. I am not complaining as this is an unexpected bonus, but our mailman is one of the few minorities around that isn't on crack or trying to rob anyone. Any way I can help my dog to be more friendly towards him? Its pretty bad. I put the TV on BET and the bog barks at the blacks on the screen jumping around talking about rap.

I've had her about a month now and when we're up watching a film, me on settee her on cushion, shes taken to running the length of the settee, head butting me, nipping and then making a run for it. I wouldn't mind so much but she nips real sensitive places. She also makes a sucking noise with her teeth and sometimes does a kind of somersault with twist jump before she get up speed for the charges.Whats a good and nice way of getting her to stop. This is the truth.

I am unsure if she getting her winter coat or if it's something that I should be alarmed about. Her coating seems to have ripples and she just looks puffy all over. She is acting normal though.

I don't ever recall giving away cats being CRUEL. Unless the law changed? It's not like I'm killing them and dumping them on the side of the road. I am offering them to family, friends, and people that want to love a cat. If that is not possible I am resorting LASTLY to the Humane Society. I really don't want to, because I know they just end up putting them to sleep. That is why I offer them to anyone who is loving. I think it's pretty good because all she needs is the spay and not the shots. And it's pretty cheap here but right now I cannot afford it. If you people would be more open hearted to my situation then you would understand. Being rude and leaving insulting comments that make me look like an animal hater doesn't solve anything. I've have my cat over 1 yr and love her but I rent and rules are RULES. I cannot change that. Maybe if you took the time to ASK before you open your mouths you would know where I'm coming from. Thanks to all that left nice comments.
