My brother is away at his Navy A school and left us the care of his two geckos. We separated them today due to one's obsessive eating habits, but I still don't know what to do. When I look at the skinny gecko all I want to do is cry. It's so skinny. What can I do besides take it to the vet? Any suggestions on feeding and special caring for it?

I have a 12-week old I brought home recently, and since I've brought her home, I've noticed small bumps appearing on her ears. I have a friend who has a cat that has the same problem every summer- tons of bumps on his ears and nose. When they took their cat to the vet, it was allergies. Seems like the same case with my kitten- anyone ever have a similar experience? How did you treat it?

I have 1 female spayed cat, and 1 male nuetered cat. They are brother and sister and have been living in the same house since birth. They were fixed at 6mos of age, and are now a little over 2 years old. Tonight, the male mounted the female and attempted to mate. The female didn't resist...I am confused...why would he have the urge to mate if he is fixed. Also, she is fixed, so she isn't in heat...do males still just have the urge, and if so, why all of a sudden 2 years later. Also, if this happened tonight, will it start to be a reoccuring thing? It was right in the middle of the livingroom! I'm worried that he's going to keep doing it to her...

these kittens are gorgeous. there are 2 girls and 1 boy, all pitch black with blue(at least for now)eyes.
time is very short because they will not be safe at all once they start exploring. we have a pit who is very good natured with people, even strangers, but hates cats because he has witnessed members of the family petting and feeding neighborhood strays through the window. we cannot turn to the local animal shelter because they do not have a no kill policy.we have called many shelters with no kill policies but none of them have room.we are hoping that someone out there knows of a place and we would appreciate your input greatly

I have a Pit bull and she has never once bit or tried to bit me or my other dogs. I don't understand why people are so scared of them, all Pit Bulls are different. It's the way people train they pits not the pits themsevles. No one who comes to my house wants anything to do with her, and it's because they hear something on T.V. If they got bit I understand but, just hearing something. Whats up with that?

Last month I wrote in with this question, I want to thank everyone that responded to this question, it helped me thru this very dfficult time. It gave me the courage to do what I had to do for my beloved pet and friend. It was the hardest thing I ever did. I'm still greiving, and probably will for a long time. Did anyone else gain insight from talking with others, and what advise did you recieve?

She has never really enjoyed "dog food". She gets a scrambled egg beater with 1/4 piece of cheese for breakfast and whatever we have for dinner if it's not too spicy or greasy. I always try to blance it out. She has never been sick and weighs 10 pounds.

So, my dog had coccidia, and she has been sick for a while. If you know about coccidia, it is where the dog has runny droppings and refuses to eat. I took her into my breeder, and after a couple days, my dog was up and kicking.

I was given a calorie supplement that was supposed to be high in fat and calories, and also supposed to be tasty for the dog. Since my dog is a Yorkie, I simply put this supplement on my finger and let her lick it. By the look on her face, she didn't like it, but I kinda put it up to her mouth anyway. I did this about 2 more times in the day, and at the end of the day she seemed aggrevated with me.

Whenever I go to pet her, she cringes and backs away, occasionally biting. If I am around her toys, she grabs them and takes them away, as if to show possession.

I don't think my dog is trying to show that she is higher ranked (or hierachy, whatever) than me, like all the resources say. I really want to know what is going on with my dog, why, and how I can fix it.

Has anybody got an outside water drinking fountain for your dog? I think they connect to the faucet. I have heard of Lixit and Waterdog. Anybody know about these....or any others?
