My Westies are scratching like crazy! I bathed them in sensitive skin shampoo, and even hydrocortisone shampoo and they can seem to get no relief. Any ideas?

I have a 13 year old maltese. About a year ago she developed sores underneath her tongue, it smells really bad and she drools all the time now, you can tell it hurts her because she doesn't want to eat like she use too, all she wants to do is sleep. I have taken her to 2 different vets, the first one said her teeth were scraping her tongue and so she pulled some of her teeth, and then she put her on Clindamycin. That didn't work so I took her to another and he thought it was tumors but that came back negative. He put her on Baytril but that hasn't worked either. She seems to be getting worse. Does anyone have any ideas? I hate to see her in this kind of pain. Any help would be appreciated.

She doesn't have health problems she has had all her shots.
She will eat cardboard, notebook paper, paper towels, toliet paper, newspaper, magazines, even books. Why does she do that and how can I get her to stop she does it mostly when we are in bed she knows that she gets in trouble for doing it and wont do it where we can catch her. She either goes into a room no one is in or waits till she goes outside to potty.

I came home from work and found my bottom feeder (catfish) dead but it wasn't just floating he was stuck to my filter system and it was fuzzy looking and when I got him out I looked closer and he had like thick slime on him...it was fine when I left for work then 8 1/2 hours later that is how I found him. What would make that happen so fast??

My year and a half old dobie is a giant sweetheart. He's friendly, well-behaved and an all around sweetie pie... the only thing is he is VERY VERY VERY over protective of me. If we're walking down the street and someone approaches, he shoves me behind him and bares his teeth. If a friend or aquaintance moves too quickly towards me, they're shoved away with a growl... he has even very occaisonally done this with regards to my husband. He's not agressive, he has never bitten anyone or threatened them. He doesn't act like this with my husband and I'm wondering if there is some way I can get him to chill. He's great with other dogs and kids and people he knows... but I with strangers or people he doesn't know this behavior comes up. Is there anything I can do?
