No horses are not color blind but have a limited color range.

Horses are not color blind but can not see the range of colors we do. For example thy cant tell the difference between orange and red but can tell the diff between red and green.

no - they definitely see colors. Some say otherwise but I've seen too many things otherwise.

- horse would drink out of red buckets but not blue ones
- stallion would breed bays but not sorrels - no interest in sorrel or chestnut mares
- I had a mare who would walk over white lines on the pavement but you were taking your life in your hands to try to get her over the yellow ones. She HATED them.

These are just a few - They indicate to me horses CAN see colors.

I think they aren't because we had this crazy mare who spooked every time she saw yellow!! Horses have even identified colors in scientific research.

no.
my last horse was trained to recognize color egs.
"Baby which is the red hay string?" and she would pull on the red hay string rather than the yellow.

I had some horses who were terrified of blue tarps. Only blue ones. You tell me.

no they're not colored blind but they don't see like us. they see colors like orange, purple, and green and different shades of these colors.

yes they cannot see the colours of large wavelength.
