My cat had a fever and was vomiting so I brought him to the vet. He is FIV positive and the vet wants to put him down. I know nothing about the disease does the fever mean he is on his way to death? I really don't want to kill my cat. what would you do?

Well, some just told me that if i put 20 crickets in a cage with a juvy leopard gecko that I just got, (which I do; I put 20 in a week), that the crickets would kill him! Is that possible? Please I really need to know so I can stop this if it is incorrect.

I found a spider in my house and I want to identify it. Is there some website where I can discribe it or something to help me identify it? I don't want to see different kinds, I just want to enter its characteristics and then get a result.

Help please, I have it in a jar and it looks like it is going to eat me:)

I just got a juvenille leopard gecko, and I'm wondering, as far as feeding goes, if it's okay to just put 20 crickets in its cage a week. I'm afraid that it might not be such a goodidea... Also, What's the ideal lighting times for the lights I have? I want to make sure that I am doing this right. I mean, I don't want to kill the poor thing. (I have a Basking Light on one side and a Red Light on the other side.) What's the ideal temp of its tank? And my last question: What is the best way to hold him and to let him now that I'm not a threat? Thanks a lot! ~Nikki

He's a ten year old Thoroughbred stallion. He's got excessive training in pleasure, hunter/jumper, halter, barrel racing, and ghyminka (sp?). But lately he won't respond to any of my signals. I'm even considering resorting to a harsher bit. Nothing I do helps with his attitude. I can't barely even get his tack on before he begins acting up. What can I do - without hurting him, ofcourse - to get him to behave in the ring and out?

My cat had his penis amputated 11 days ago, due to continual urinary tract blockages. He then had the stitches taken out 2 days ago. Does anyone else have a cat who's gone through this? If so, do you remember how long it took him to recover from it, to the point where he's no longer sore? I neglected to ask the vet, and he's out of town for a few days.

we brought a kitten home a few weeks ago and she had pretty substantial "eye boogers". along with some redness around her right eye, accompanied with sneezing and lots of discharge from her nose. she had gotten alot better, her "eye boogies" went away, and she seemed to be betting over it. only a sneeze here and there. but now the redness is back in her right eye, the extreme discharge from her nose and a good sneezing fit every five minutes have returned. the one thing that stumps me is that she seems totally fine in her behavior, she's playful, lovable and eats just fine.we cannot afford a vet visit. any ideas on something we can do at home or some OVER THE COUNTER remedies?? any help is GREATLY appreciated.

i just recently bought a 60 gallon tank and am in the process of picking up three saltwater fish for it. one is a lionfish (dangerous, i know) one if a porcupine puffer, and the other is a snowflake moray eel. a good friend of mine works in the fishroom at petmart and he told me that they will all be fine together but i've read that a puffer might nibble on the fins of the lionfish which is bad because the lionfish's fins are pointed with venomous spines. does anyone know if this gonna be a real problem? i don't want them to kill eachother.

also, any information you can give me on the snowflake would be great. i had a freshwater eel and he died because he refused to eat and i couldn't figure out what the problem was.
