My cat had his penis amputated 11 days ago, due to continual urinary tract blockages. He then had the stitches taken out 2 days ago. Does anyone else have a cat who's gone through this? If so, do you remember how long it took him to recover from it, to the point where he's no longer sore? I neglected to ask the vet, and he's out of town for a few days.

give it about a month or two. my Salem went through the same thing.

I've never had that issue with any of my cats, but I can tell you that they usually heal quickly. I don't know if he has any other health issues, how old he is, or what you're doing to keep him comfortable, but my kitten was just spayed last week and within 48 hours she was up and bouncy again.
I'd give it another week or so. If he continues to show signs of discomfort or pain, call the vet.

Your cat should be acting almost one hundred percent normal right now- If he's not, call the vet.
