Rattlesnakes generally stick to eating rodents. Parrots outside are usually in more danger from hawks, falcons and the like. However if the rattlesnake got into the cage and the bird got too close it might get bitten...
I'm not sure about Macaw's but I know cockatoo's are usually very frightened when they hear a snake hissing, so this could be a cause of stress to your bird.
Best to keep the rattlesnakes away from your property - for your safety as well. Make sure your bird cage is kept clean and that the seeds are not attracting rodents,as this could attract snakes. You should also clear away excess vegetation.
If you are really worried you could always get snake proof fencing.

I only take my parrot outside when I'm there with him so that if he feels stressed or threatened I can remove him from the situation! As for the rattlesnake, it could absolutely get in his cage and kill him! This happened to someone I know in Australia (not a rattlesnake, but a snake nontheless)!

I GUESS IT DEPENDS ON WHAT YOU HAVE THE MACAW LIVING IN EXACTLY AS COULD A SNAKE GET IN OR IS IT ENCLOSED WITH SCREEN THAT MOSQUOTES OR SNAKES COULD GET THROUGH. I WOULD WORRY ABOUT THE SAFETY OF ALL IF YOU HEARD A RATTLER. IS THERE ANY WAY YOU CAN BRING THE MACAW IN? WHY DO YOU HAVE HIM OUTSIDE TO BEGIN WITH? IS THE TEMPATURE CONSISTANT FOR ONE TO EVEN LIVE OUTSIDE? HOW LONG HAS HE LIVED OUTSIDE?
=======================================
THANKS FOR NEW INFORMATION:
I WOULD CALL ANIMAL CONTROL TO SEE IF THEY CAN WRESTLE THE SNAKE SINCE IT IS SO CLOSE TO YOUR HOME AND DOES PRESENT DANGER NOT ONLY TO THE PARROT, BUT YOUR FAMILY AND 2 SMALL DOGS.
I WOULD GO OUT WITH YOU PARROT A FEW TIMES TO ALLOW HIM TO CONTINUE TO HAVE HIS DAILY TIME, BUT IN SHORTER SESSIONS. JUST LIKE CHILDREN THEY NEED TO BE SUPERVISED BECAUSE ANY CREATURE OF THE WILD CAN POSE A THREAT UNLESS IT IS AN SAFE AVAIRY SET UP TO PROTECT HIM.
ANOTHER SUGGESTION IS SET UP THE MACAW NEAR WINDOW SO IT ALSO HAS THAT TIME TO MIMIC THE OUTDOORS.

I would imagine this would be very stressful for you bird to have a snake in close proximity - i would imagine a large rattler could indeed eat a macaw so you may want to lay some glue traps out for he snake or move the brid inside

Yes, the rattlesnake can definitely kill your parrot. I wouldn't feel safe keeping it outside with those type of animals around.

keep it inside and only let it out when you can supervise him(he is a tamed parrot right?) the rattlesnake probably wont it him if its too small but the bite will kill it.

Yes, it most definitely could. Secure the cage or move it. If you hear it that close to your house then there may be a nest around.

Now why would you leave your bird unsupervised (in or out of the cage)? Are you nuts or just prentending to be?

I hope you don't leave your bird outside at night, Racoons killed my neighbors parrot by putting their hands thru the bars and strangled it. I wouldn't leave any pet outside especially at night...
