Here in the State of New Mexico, a man by the name of John Hyde shot and kille 5 people in one night. 2 KIDS one full grown man, and 2 police officers. Every time the media brings up that trial subject, they only mention the 2 police officers that were killed. Like the kids never mattered in the firs place. I say FORGET the officers, they knew it was bound to happen. The kids never had a chance to choose a carreer.(they were each about 17 yrs old. Why the **** does the media only care about the cops, and not the innocent victims. If John Hyde had killed 5 bums, there wouldn't be any media coverage, YET, the innocent people are the ones paying the cops. The yonly care about themselves seems like. I thought 9/11 would bring them closer to the PEOPLE, rather than themselves. What do you people think?

Could it be also considered true that this "cheap" land was in fact worthless swampland.?
Is it also true (or false) that much of this so called worthless swampland has been mostly transformed to very valuable by the very people that bought it initially?

I found it very moving and It still saddens me that the gulf states are still a waste land and nothing has really been done. I hope we all learned a valuable lesson and I hope this never ever happens to Americans again. Good Job Mr. Lee....

I do, and I think it would be sad because a lot of people have waited years to put this case to rest and now this clown comes along and pulls this publicity stunt...I'm just waiting for the DNA results.

I'm trying to find out who coined a phrase, and both publications in which it appears are dated October 1964. One is Arts Magazine, a monthly publication dated October 1964 (and no longer in print), the other is Time magazine (weekly), dated Oct. 23, 1964. So the question is, which came first? Currently, a magazine with an October date would most likely be sent in September. Was this also true in 1964? Was the Time sent out approximately one week before its publication date? Thanks for your answers!

I have spent many years overseas and know that American news agencies report differently than their counterparts in other countries. For example, American news tend to "candy coat" their reports as to make it suitable for the eyes of children and other viewers who have delicate sensibilities, where many foreign news agencies show the harsh truth of the story.

But have you ever felt that American News play politics when it comes to issues abroad- like war? Perhaps only showing one side of the story or making one side look like a "victim", while portraying the other side as a "villain"?

I received the webiste below from a friend of mine overseas- it is of four news clips:

http://brasscheck.com/videos/middleeast/me5.html

Please watch the clips before answering the next questions...

Do you see a difference in reporting styles? If so, would you prefer a more "blunt" style of interviewing/reporting from US news agencies? Or is the current US reporting style fine as is?

I have read many news reports of the mideast conflict and I have been wondering why some people spell Hezbolla in many variations such as Hizbolla, Hizbulla, Hezbollah, etc... It's reminicient of post 9/11 when we saw Osama Bin Laden, Usama Bin Laden, Ben Laden... etc... Is there a consensus? Are there editors who proof these stories? Is there a conspiracy to keep people confused?

I think they should just let her rest in peace she was a lovely woman who helped everyone she could and she was also a good mother! So personally i think they should leave her alone. I know they need to fid out the truth but they should do it secretly instead of every single person in the world knowing, when they finanly find the truth (was it murder) tehy should speak to her family and ask if they can publish it in the papers!
