That man did not kill Jon Benet. He is just "looney as a tooney."

You're referring to John Mark Karr of course.
What would be sad is if he were found guilty of murdering JonBenet and he was NOT guilty.
I never believed his story from the very start. There was something odd and made up about his version of what happened.
For example, he claimed that he "drugged" JonBenet, yet there were no drugs of any kind found at her autopsy.
Another thing, he said her death was an "accident" yet her skull was crushed and she had been strangled with a garrot...these things are not done "accidentally".
And there is that eerie calmness that he displays...this is not normal behavior for someone who is a criminal type that had committed such a horrific act on a 6 year old child.
Also, the DA in Boulder Colorado was just way too premature to announce that "they now know who the murderer is".
Now that DA has been silent since that announcement, curiously silent. I think she knows she made a mistake by announcing to the community the news of the capture of JonBenet's killer...and now she's wondering what to do to retract her statement.
I'm still waiting for the announcement regarding the DNA...and wonder what's taking so long.
Also, that ransom note should have been a direct link to whomever wrote it and therefore was in the house that Christmas Eve. And, so far, handwriting analyists are not conclusive in their opinion when comparing that note to the handwriting of John Mark Karr.
I mean, what does it take to be convinced that two handwriting samples match or not. It's not as if they were typed on a typewriter or computer.
No, something is very wrong with this picture.
Things are just not adding up like they should when someone comes out and professes that he is "guilty" of the crime of murder.
There was one other thing that I never saw mentioned in any of the news about John Mark Karr...and maybe I am wrong myself..but I noticed he had "gay" or "homosexual" traits, movements and mannerisms. Apparently no one picked up on that...and now there is the news of a Doctor in Bangkok where Karr went to investigate sex-change operations. So, I know now that my intuition was correct.
There's a lot more to this story, and eventually the truth will be known but, for now, I don't believe he is the killer but someone who is a bit twisted and has his own agenda for announcing that he was JonBenet's murderer.

The reason he was able to enjoy those freedoms on the flight back to the US including, Pate, Prawns, and Champagne is because he was NOT under arrest. He had simply been deported from Bangkok. Once he reached the terminal at the L.A. Airport, he then was put under arrest and taken to jail.

I was skeptical from the get-go although he seemed like the right type (known pedophile.) But there are just too many inconsistencies in his story. Hopefully DNA will tell.
I would hesitate to call in a publicity stunt as that infers that it was done purposefully. I think people like this guy who inject themselves into criminal investigations are indeed looking for attention, but it's more an indicator of mental instability than something done rationally and with a purpose. Either way, it's sad. The whole case has become something so sordid and it's easy to lose sight of the main fact that a small child was murdered and no justice has been done for her.

The authorities are going slow on this. It screams of impostor. However, if the evidence shows that he really did it, they will proceed with the prosecution. It happened so suddenly after such a dearth, that people, the media, the prosecutor, Jon Benet's father, etal, are a bit skeptical. So only hard evidence will convict him. Until that hard evidence proves or disproves I am not able to come to a conclusion.

Let's see... I'm in jail in Singapore, charged with some perversion of a crime, subject to a foreign legal system that allows God know what to happen to me. I'm running out of time, and I really want out and to get back to the states. So, all I have to do is confess to a crime on U.S. soil and be extradited back to the U.S. where I can tie up the case for years in a comfortable constitutional jail cell. Probably in the the end I'll get off when they find I was not the guy.
Of course he's lying.
I say when the DNA proves it, we send him back to stand trial on the original charges, but this time he flies coach!

The daggers of hate and suspicion that we sent already wounded and killed Mrs Ramsay. Le us give the legal system a chance. Some reporters, in their rush to be up on the latest news, actually skewed information in the direction of sensationalism. DNA, semen samples--those are things that will give either concrete evidence or create another wild goose chase. Time will tell: in the meantime, newspapers will sell, talk show and television hosts/hostesses will bask in the glow of new information--a vicious cycle.

Yeah, I think he's just delusional. A lot of things about his story just don't seem right to me, like how he said he drugged her when there were no drugs found in her system during the autopsy.
Ah, well. I guess we'll have to wait for the DNA results to find out.

I do. I believe he is using this as some way to gain popularity for some outrageous reason. Look at how the family is trying to make money off of a book or movie deal. They are all in it and should be all prosecuted for fraud or embezzlement.

This guy or whatever he is can be described as a really sick person. I think this hurts the family more with his kind of action. Hell no, he didn't do it. Just wanting to be noticed. Getting in the limelight is all he is about. Should be kept off the streets!!!

yeah, I think something is definitely fishy about this story. Not only, the sad thing is that he waited to do this after Jon Benet's mother passed. Why didn't he do it when she was still alive?

I don't see him as intentionally lying. I see him as very sick and delusional, so much so that perhaps he in his own mind did have something tio do with it. Even though he didn't. The first thing they need to do with the guy is put him thru some major psychological evaluations.
